Get him a loan to a team with a manager like Nagelsmann in the way Arsenal did with Reiss Nelson

Would make a lot of sense, we tend to have problems with loans though.

Look at Mbappe and the way he exploded into the scene at Monaco, and Sancho at Dortmund, he needs to have that faith out in him, a loan doesn't really do that, he needs to have a manager throw him in the deep end and see if he can show his skills.

There's no point wrapping a young player up in case it ruins his confidence, if it does, then he won't make it here anyway, some people are just not cut out for the too, he needs to be given a chance to show that he's mentally tough enough too.

This is why I’d want Jardim as the new head coach. He’d give Greenwood a chance, tonnes of faith and would probably try to play him like he should be played, and not try to force him into a hole that doesn’t fit.

Does he actually have a dominant foot or is he truly ambidextrous? Either way, his finishing is superb with both.

I'd start him against Cardiff the next day....at least LVG would aswell so we can see a glimpse of the future, not this present rubbish under Mourinho

Remember Fergie put Macheda on the bench after a hat trick in the reserves and in a totally huge game.

Can't see Mourinho ever having the faith to do that. Would love to see a manager like Jardim with him, I reckon he'd improve him no end even though for his age he's quite special already

Davide Santon is probably the last youth player Mourinho played, he's now 27 (28 in 2 weeks).

Greenwood won't get a minute on the pitch with Mou in charge.

Chuckled at the hattrick goal, looked like Vieira passing it to Giggsy in 99.

Yeah actually I think the fact he's equally comfortable on either foot means the defense don't know which way he's gonna go so naturally just back off and as you said his decision making is like a seasoned pro always seems to make the right decision.

I was impressed with his hold/link up play too the kid really has it all pace, touch, finishing, decision making and he even is decent in the air too, definitely something to brighten up our season and hope for the future as there is a lot of good young talent coming through our u23s and youth team.
Yeah he deliberately drives at the defender cos he knows he can take it either side and the defender can't tell. And then once he's gone to the side he takes the shot so early. So difficult to defend against at that level and you expect that ability to be translatable all the way up. Hope so.

Ed Woodward was at the game so I hope whoever we hire after Mourinho will give our youngsters a chance. Greenwood is prolific and technically supreme for a 17 year old and if he keeps this up then he can't be ignored. I can see him being part of the first team next season under a different manager.

IF we get rid of Jose before the end of the season and we get Carrick/McKenna in as Caretaker, I think we'll see him this season with the odd appearance.

His hold up play in that clip was superb. A young Two footed fast RVP

2 footed and a football brain. Those are some of the rarest attributes you can find in a top level player.

Would it fecking hurt if we gave this kid a chance instead the shit being played from the likes of Lukaku and Lingard? I bet he would do better than both. Same goes for Gomes and Chong.
Don't want him to enter the cess pool that is our first team. It even brings top class talents like Pogba and Martial down

An absolutely colossal performance. Not just the goals. Greenwood's sublime technical qualities were there in abundance as always. His hold up and link up play was terrific. Great to see his technical qualities married with such heart and fight. A real leader out there tonight in a difficult game, where he had to make the most of limited supply at times.

Jose doesn't these types you know. He will be made to play with his back towards goal
Echoing a few of the thoughts he should be kept far away from Mourinho and the chaos of the 1st team. Let him stay where he is , keep doing what he's doing and hopefully when we get a new manager he'll get his chance to impress with zero pressure.

Very exciting prospect but no need to rush him into the first team. He needs to be given a chance to come in as a sub when we have the right manager and the team is in good spirits. He should be nowhere near the first team at the moment, the negativity will ruin him. Just let him keep on flourishing in the youth team banging in goals left right and centre and he will be given his chance.

Another reason why we should bring in Jardim. Jardim was giving 16-17 year old Mbappe playing time. Same with Martial. Same with Carvalho while he was at Sporting. He clearly gives youngsters chances.

What's the whole putting the finger to the mouth when he scores all about for goodness sake? I hate it when players do that, now we've got youth players doing it!
