I was 17 not that long ago and jumping up and down on your mates cock was never something I would consider funny.

That being said I don't really care that he's done it.
I'm in this boat, but this is something I know many wouldn't do at 17 in the workplace either. It's not material, but it's pretty fecking stupid to do when you know social media a big issue for players.

The changing room is part of the work place. What sort of a stupid argument is that? If I did the same thing as him in my office canteen where we take breaks I'd get (rightly) warned about unprofessional conduct in the workplace.

You’re comparing different jobs. You might get in trouble at YOUR job, but if you’re a builder and called Luka a stupid cnut and threw an apple at him during your lunch break, no one would bat an eyelid. I imagine it’d be a different story at your workplace. It’s simple stuff mate, don’t call his argument stupid when that’s your offering.

Ignoring the fact he was 15 (apparently) at the time of the video, so all this talk of workplaces is weird (and it’s really weird to compare being in a changing room to being in an office). No one who’s ever been in a changing room would be surprised by that video, it’s not racist, sexist homophobic etc so there’s no problem.

He is the heir to Robin Van persie. I hope he gets gametime in the PL this season. Maybe seeing this guy perform well could motivate the trash bros JLingz and Rashy to up their game and contribute something on the pitch.

You're right, it's different. As I said it's not material, but the problem for us or in a management situation is that you've put yourself under the microscope more than you should be.

This was was when he was 15? I thought it just happened this week  if you're right it's not material at all. I was going to say you can be in trouble as all of a sudden he's dropped from our squad. However if it's an old video it's even more harmless, have to agree.

He is just following in the steps of United greats Best, Giggs, rooney et al.

Bear in mind I’ve took the 15 thing solely from posters in here. So I could be taking shit.

It’s not like I don’t understand where you’re coming from, it’s fine for me to talk about dressing room behaviour I’ve seen when clearly it’s a completely different animal to representing a behemoth like United, and the repercussions are far, far greater. But I’m generally of the view that if something isn’t really targeted, or offensive towards a certain group, then I don’t really mind it. Even if it’s immature or cringy (but then that might be because I have the sense of humour of a 14 year old).

Tbh, there have been incidents where people dig up really old tweets of celebrities and use them to bring them down. It is all the more important in this age of social media to be careful of what you post online, especially when you are in the public eye. You never know who might get offended by what. But I am sure Mason will learn from this and be more careful in the future.

Yeah does seem strange. I personally can’t stand being filmed whilst doing something daft, but it seems some people revel in the accompanying attention.

I'd happily look at the videos. Do you have a link or can you describe what happened?
It wasnt videos, it was him just tweeting at people. Twitter account got suspended a while ago. But point is that he did nothing wrong and neither did Greenwood, it's just kids being kids?

And yeah it really isnt. I'm amazed anyone can refer to a changing room for players that were part of a u18 team as a work place. Are you seriously fecking comparing doing shit in a proper work place compared to doing things around a football pitch, let alone the changing room? Yeah, if you'd shower with your coworkers that wouldnt be great. If you changed with your coworkers, that wouldnt be great either. I'm sure you dont also get paid for playing sports. That's the problem. You're trying to equate a normal workplace with being part of a football team. Yes they get paid for it, but it's still football at the end of the day and none of that shit is unprofessional or out of the ordinary for them.

Its really just teenagers these days, they post everything on snapchat and Instagram.

This is just a sign of the times. He will know better now....to be careful in chosing mates.

What have his coaches said about his mentality?

He is 17, I understand, but it doesn't seem as if he maintains a professional demeanour or cares about his public image as a Manchester United player.

Talent alone doesn't get you a starting spot at this club.

Edit : okay someone mentioned that the video is very old. Then why is this an issue?

Much rather bouncing up and down on the kids lap rather than punching him or nicking his watch like another academy graduate may have done

Pretty much

Literally any man in this thread will have done something he regrets with his mates when he was that age. That is definitely strange to look at but they are young and seem to think it is funny.

We are all lucky that we were not celebrities at 17 years old.

Think he was around 15 in those videos so anyone on here who is using as a stick to beat him with is being very harsh. He was just a kid and still is!

I don't know what's the issue here....he hails from a country whose former pm allegedly snagged a pig :)

Because @Giggsyking is mortified for some reason.

Can’t disagree with this

TBF I thought the video is filmed this season ( not sure if it is now or 2 years ago), but anyhow, I like the player and I wish he can concentrate on the football and leave the goofing aside if he want's to succeed.

Why is there a fuss being made about this video? It’s literally 2 mates messing about. I don’t even understand how it’s news, let alone seen as being controversial.

There is another video also....
To be honest though what he does in his personal life is none of our business

I’ve only seen the video of him bouncing on Garners(?) knee. What’s the other one?

And I completely agree on the 2nd part

The other one is a video that shows him appearing to be kissing a teamate, which is the second part of the video. TBF I don't really care what goes on behind the scenes as long as he keeps banging in those goals.

Protected you hope, its not his fault things were leaked from 2 years ago. By protected I hope due the homophobic nature

You'd think not having him in the squad makes more noise than having him. Now people are asking questions.

It's a bit of a worry though, we have no real striker at all if something happens to Rashford.

Ole hopefully just throwing a protective arm around him, and not letting him get too far ahead of himself, it's self harm otherwise given we have no proper strikers at all just now.
