Valid point. He's been decent in the bigger games for us but he needs to produce this level consistently if he's to really step up. Still has a tendency to have a 50-50 game against some quality pressing.Let’s see if he can do it in a big game. Not long to wait!
He's 24 and Modric is 36 and Kroos 32. Playing at this level he easily would have started over Asensio and Rodrygo this season, and next season in midfield
He just turned 23 actually.,
I would say it goes both way. Arteta and Arsenal aid Odegaard's renaissance by giving him the stability, and also trust him as a player. Otherwise he would be still be on loan to another club in spain playing for different manager every season. At which age Modric was no-where close to Madrid.
Insane that people have already written him off several times. Sucks that he’s been aiding Arsenal’s renaissance, but as a Noggie I’m delighted to see him find his stride again.
That makes it worse for me!He just turned 23 actually.,

The exact type of players we need. Where you see them influencing games without needing to score or assist. They just lift the teams general play up which is far more effective than having one player going Hollywood. Get away from the Bruno's of the world.
Ha, fair enough! Either way, the point stands. We need players who, despite not getting brilliant stats consistently, excel with their general play. The more players of that ilk we have, the better we'll play as a team, and the better we play as a team, the more widespread our chances will be created. We won't be reliant on one player going Hollywood every game.Watched Arsenal for the first time in a while the other day. Watching Odegaard did NOT make me feel any better about Bruno as our #10 to say the least.
People actually rate this bloke? Wow.
The Norwegian David Silva
Don't bother, he's here every other Arsenal game spouting his hate for Odegaard as if he's barely a championship player. Very weirdPeople don't?
David Silva was much more scrappy though, and had better close control. Norwegian Ozil, would be a better comparison. Still tends to go missing in games, though thats looking to change this season.Good comparison. Lovely player, wouldn’t look out of place in Pep’s side and Wenger would absolutely love him also.

The cnut McGin got his ankle. I hope it was Ode managing himself before the weekend though it doesn't look too good going by his reaction.Seemed to pull up with an injury before coming off last night. Wonder if he’ll be fit for the Utd game.
Seeing the impact and the following limp, i would not be shocked if he had some sort of bruise/micro-fracture. He stayed on a few minutes but the way he just punted the ball out to get replaced.... no way he plays on Sunday.Seemed to pull up with an injury before coming off last night. Yeah him pulling up in his run just before coming off doesn’t look like something he could shake off.Seeing the impact and the following limp, i would not be shocked if he had some sort of bruise/micro-fracture. Far better than Bruno.
This guy is very good. To be honest, when he first came I didn't think much of him. But he has adapted well to the league now and is imposing himself on games. Tough break for Emile Smith-Rowe though.
Hope he’s okay. He’s one of the most entertaining players in the league this season. If Haaland wasn’t a literal alien, Odegaard would probably have been a great shout for player of the month.
