Entirely predictable, but I guess this players aren’t signed by top Premier League clubs because money isn’t a problem for them.

Clubs like Brighton are doing the smart scouting this days, don’t know if Southampton is on the same track, it’s impossible they don’t know this players well.

When I see clubs like Wolves forgetting the Mendes links, who are struggling to avoid relegation and signing Matheus Cunha type of players you feel that everything is possible with money this days in England.

He isn't the best tbf, but he's top 3 currently. Haaland is probably the best purely for his ridiculous record. KDB/Odegaard under. (THIS SEASON).

That assist today was something else.

30m for him was very good business.

Hopefully he keeps himself fit and kicks on.
 
He's everything Ozil should've been for Arsenal. Top class home AND away.

Shouldn't be a huge shock. He was probably best player in La Liga in 19/20 and premier league was going to be no problem once he got up to speed with the pace.
 
One of a number of things thats impressed me aside from his footballing ability is that he just gets on with things. Minimal drama if any and he seems like a real team player. Wish we had bought him.
 
He finally has a stable platform to showcase his quality. His talent is never in doubt.

Yeah, since he’s added “at the moment”. It’s obvious that he’s not yet at the level of someone like De Bruyne but he’s one of the most in-form players in the league who’s been leading Arsenal during a period of outstanding form. I’d still pick Haaland personally as the best performer (and De Bruyne as an overall best player), but it’s certainly something that can be argued.

Well.. please list the players currently better than him? You said for Arsenal he isn't the best. Saka/Jesus are the other two up there with him, but he could easily be argued as the best.

Beyond that, Haaland.. maybe KDB. But, his statement is far from outrageous.
 
Ødegaard has three goals, three assists and three man of the match awards in his last three games, and he's at the heart of everything the clear league leaders do going forward, as well as their top scorer. But apparently he's not good enough to warrant anything but green smileys.

Based on current form, especially in the two games since the break, there are no better performers in the league. None of the players with a higher top level than Ødegaard are currently showing it. Ødegaard is.

He may not be the "best" but he's surely the most effective player in the league at the moment. When Leceister won the league it was no secret that Mahrez was probably the best midfield player that season, along with probably Kante. When a team is playing well and getting good results , it lifts the players to performance you'd otherwise not see if that same team weren't as consistent. It's just the way it is. RVP was the best player in the league the last time Utd won it based on his effectiveness for the team. It doesn't mean that statement was false then.
 
Turning into a better player than peak Ozil for us. Albeit has a better attitude.

People often talk about taking a punt on player before they elevate themselves the point a sensational transfer fee is needed to sign them. I know he was signed from Real Madrid, but he was basically a reserve at Real Madrid, played more games for their B team than he did the first team. Well I think we have done it here. Signed that diamond in the rough in a place where nobody else was looking. Got in early, therefore got him cheap.

Players have looked the best in the moment.

Toney is currently better than Salah and Kane at the moment, Ben White is the best right back in the league at the moment, Saka is the best wide forward at the moment, it doesn’t really say much when these players haven’t hit the top form of these aforementioned players for a season let alone season after season.

He's been our best player and is in the discussions for league POTY at this point in the season. It's hardly a ridiculous take work at the moment. Though I'd personally argue that his Norwegian mate is the best player currently.
 
If only Martinelli scored or was able to square that ball to Nketiah in the first half.

The pass from Ødegaard was something else and deserved a score.

Yeah it's better to frame the discussion in terms of the POTY instead.
 
He would have been a really easy signing to make for us, at a point we needed to replace Mata and needed backup positions all around... and he would have done equally as well for us, especially under Ten Haag. But no, we had to keep Pereira and Lingard instead of fully backing Ole at the right time in the market.
 
I can't say that I've seen every Arsenal (or every other team) game this season but he can't be far off "a player of the season" nomination (thus far) from what I've seen.

This is all hindsight. You were never interested in Odegaard, who when we brought in on loan was basically someone who was not going to make it at Real Madrid.

Eriksen has the skills and vision but not sure that he has the workrate and stamina that Odegaard has (esp considering his known cardiac issue). He's also 30 - he's arguably reached his ceiling while Odegaard at 24 is just getting started at this level.
 
Really owe Madrid for loaning us Odegaard, and then selling him for just 30m even after he proved he was the real deal. They could have charged 120m, and it wouldn't be out of question. Hope all our feeder clubs behave in that way.

he never played to this level when on loan. Still For 30m is an incredible bargain. He’s now running the show, not just with Arsenal but the league as a whole. Incredible vision footwork and skill, and never stops working. A dream footballer.
