Personally I'd be with the team if I were in his shoes but basic human understanding should permit the opposite decision instead of being spiteful like a kid. I'll be angry if he doesn't show up before Leicester. Martial's absence/presence isn't a fix to our problems. Why have a moan about a man being there for his newborn?

Any companies normally only gave 2 days max for paternity leave , Jose already stated that he plan to use him in our first game against Leicester, so he must have cancel his plan now. This is an exact example how his love life can hinder his own career , he should be with the team, working hard , ensure his place against Leicester , perform well and challenge Mourinho for starting position after but all the positive possibilities gone because of too much love. Hope this means he gets sold, we can't have player with too much love drama behind

No sympathy for Martial here. No problem with him rushing home for the birth but after a couple of days he should be on the first flight back, if he was committed then that would be the case.

This is a pre-season friendly with most of the other senior players also missing. He's not missing the league match at Anfield for a friend's birthday, he is missing a practice session in LA for the birth of his child.
His pay reflects the fact it isn’t any other job. If he wants a weeks paternity leave he can get a job stacking shelves at Tesco.
Don't know which country you guys are from but in Ireland you're entitled to two weeks paternity leave.
