Please let this end!
I look at this as a positive sign.
If he's not signing a deal with us it's because:
A. We're not offering him enough money
B. We're not guaranteeing him the starts he wants at this stage of his career.
A indicates B anyway in terms of status at the club.
With that in mind, it suggests that Mourinho views him as a backup player following next summer's transfer window and if that's what has been holding up his contract then it also explains why Mourinho has gushed over him being one of our most important players these last 6 months.
Mourinho would absolutely love to keep him as a squad player but I guarantuee he also has plans to bring in a top bracket midfielder to play alongside/instead of Pogba and Matic.
- Rejected by Fellaini. We're right mess at the moment. Mourinho will be off soon.
His salary rose to £120k a week after the one-year extension, and he still turned down the new contract offer in September! So he wants a long contract with +£120k a week salary?United triggered a one-year extension in Fellaini's contract in January which bumped his salary up to £120,000-a-week but he is free to negotiate with clubs in the winter transfer window

Get rid. Just bring in a replacement that can actually play football this time round.

Not as tall, so won't happen under Jose!Milinkovic-Savic can do everything Fellaini can do, AND play football. No-brainer, surely.
Extend his contract for as long as possible. He’s very important as a backup/plan B player.
More money, longer contract, guaranteed starts, love of kebabs, sick of rain... plenty of potential reasons. This is bizzare. Is he and his agent playing hardball or what? Why would he turn down a new contract here and go to Turkey of all places?

If so, that's a good thing. We have more than enough deadwood in the squad without risking the accumulation of more deadwood. Will be the longer contact for sure. Don't we have a procedure that players over 30 get 1 year extensions? If he has been offered 3-4 year elsewhere then that could be the reason
Meh, get rid.
Whoscored is saying that he's joining Besiktas for 8m in January?
Excellent news. No way he should be getting a new contract. Reminds me of when Ashley Young had a brief upswing in form so we offered him a new long term deal even though he'd been mediocre for years.
Thanks Fellaini, I'll follow your career in the Turkish league.
