He wont be sold at least for next season. CM is in shambles with Ando (hopefully) leaving, Giggs retiring and Fletcher still suffering from a chronic illness. The new manager will surely give a 27m rated midfielder a second try.

Next year he may end up at Stoke with Moyes

Maybe let's see what a proper coach can do with him?.

So far he has been taught to be a route 1 specialist. Get a proper footballing coach in and see if we can make him more cultured.

Not sure if this is a serious claim or a parting shot at Moyes but Fellaini is just not going to cut it here. I want all our players to succeed but the only thing he offers are strong elbows.

He's awful. We need to get rid asap, like Liverpool did with Carroll.

I hope the new manager gives him a chance. Most of the players (bar the ones who are on their last legs) should get a chance. I actually feel sorry for him. The man that brought him in is gone, he must be feeling a bit nervous.

I hope the new manager will get rid of him, like Rodgers did with Carroll. We might get around 10m for him, better than nothing and definitely better than keeping him here.

I would the manager does not take a full year to understand what players he needs to move on. Makes no sense. It could end up being a repeat of this year.

Well no. Because I said that the older ones should go. Obviously we need a LB and CM regardless. Hernandez, Rafael, Fellaini and Kagawa are the players I was thinking of. They need to be re-assessed by the new manager. We can still act in the transfer window while he does that.

Ok, yeah that I agree with.

Yes it's serious. Moyes has been his coach since he has been about 20. Everton's early style was lump it to him, he's too used to being a rough houser. He clearly has the ability, just need's some proper coaching.

I have not seen any abiity on the ball to suggest he can make it as a United player. The guy has a wider turning circle than the QE2 and just doesn't have the quality that we need. I hope he proves me wrong, I honestly do but myself and the majority of United fans have seen nothing to suggest he can.

He has a massive world cup ahead of him. Be interesting to see how he performs. Had a poor season, but lets be honest, everyone did. No one was playing with confidence apart from one or two players.

It would be foolish to write him off already now that Moyes has gone. It could be just what the lad needs to rebuild his reputation.

He is probably feeling a little vulnerable at this moment. I hope the new man gives him a shot

Will be very interesting if Giggs picks him

I hope he leaves. He is responsible for the worst ever midfield performance ( against Bayern)I've seen from a United player. He is never going to fit in with our style. His passing is average, he is slow, immobile and has poor 1st touch. We can't keep a player whose best quality is chest control and who is a red card magnet. If he stays he will be a very expensive squad player and a relic of Moyes' time here. I'd rather take a loss than a gamble. When he joined us RVP was asked to describe his qualities and the only thing he could say was "he is big"

There are at least two CMs I would rather sell ahead of Fellaini TBH, those being Anderson and Cleverley. Given we aren't well stocked in this position I would be more inclined to let him stay for another season and see if he can cut it.

There is a good chance he could be one of the first out of the door, especially if he has a good World Cup and there are some decent offers for him. We are weak in midfield with or without him and i think it is just a question of when he will be off loaded not if, he just isn't good enough unless he is played high up the pitch and you hoof the ball up to him which I don't see any new manager doing.

Don't think he will. Think it'll be Fletch and Carrick. No real knowledge behind that feeling though.

Hope he's the first out, quite a few smaller teams would love a target man like him. He's got no place at united, that's for sure. If west ham paid £15m for Andy Carroll, I'm sure we could get between 10-15m for fellaini, and we should take that without hesitation if it comes.

There's no reason he can't perform well under a manager that tries to play the right way. People can stick it to the Fellaini all they like, but he knows how to pass a ball to the man in front of him, he always has. In a better performing team and with some confidence, he's still a good option to have in the squad.

Agree completely!

Ideally Moyes can take him to his next club.

Ideally he kicks on next season and can perform well for the club.

Keep him around I suppose. Has a huge point to prove though. His transfer fee and what I assume are high wage probably don't help things, but it's hardly his fault. You look at some of the games he had last season against the big teams (specifically that one game against us) and that has to be an asset in some way. Unfortunately, for a team like us it needs to be a plan B or C.

If he fails next season then get rid asap.

I feel sorry for him in the sense of looking at the set up he came into. You can probably lop half your hand off and still have enough fingers to count the number of outfield players who have been decent this year. I think it's very difficult to judge someone in their first season in that environment.

Has shown nothing to suggest that he can make it here. I've already had enough of his elbow flailing, cumbersome lethargic performances.

I'm slightly on board with this... a different manager might be able to get a lot out of him. Same with other maligned players like Cleverley... (If Rogers can do it with Henderson). I think it's about him getting over his own mental block and somehow getting him to find, use and have confidence in his strengths... though that still might not be good enough for us.

Basically, I think his future with us is bleak - but I won't be writing him off completely.

If we did sell him this summer i don't expect to get more than £15m for him.

Wouldn't worry too much about him. He'll probably get more chances to prove himself, and if it doesn't work I am quite sure managers like Big Sam could be in for him, he is a perfect player for him and Sam payed 15£ million for Carroll who is inferior player to Fellaini.

I hope the new manager takes the hard decision and gets rid. He was a regressive purchase from the word go and would never be anything more than a backup/squad player. We have plenty of those type of midfielders, who are also United academy graduates and are more experienced at the top level.

Hopefully he has a decent World Cup and attracts the likes of Newcastle, West Ham, Stoke, Hull or possibly a newly promoted team into a £10-15m purchase.

If he goes, we'll always look back fondly at that amazing diagonal cross-field run

If he has a good world cup we might find a suitor. Supposedly he is an important player for Belgium.

Like Moyes he simply isn't good enough, hopefully we let the new manager do what Rodgers was allowed to do with Carroll and simply cut our losses.

Yeah, I can see an Andy Carroll type situation happening here. In saying that, he's not the worst CM that we have, which says it all really.

If ever the term - 'A big lanky drip' can be used, it can be used to describe Fellaini
