Mario Balotelli

Mario Balotelli's agent claims Manchester City and Manchester United are not the only clubs looking to sign his client.

The Inter Milan striker is tipped to be on his way out of Giuseppe Meazza this summer, having endured a turbulent relationship with the club over recent seasons.

The player himself is believed to be keen on a fresh challenge, allowing him to leave his troubles in the past.

A switch to the Premier League has been widely touted, with Manchester City, who are bossed by former Inter coach Roberto Mancini, believed to be leading the hunt.

Manchester United are also reported to have expressed an interest in the prodigious 19-year-old, with Sir Alex Ferguson keen to bolster his attacking ranks.

However, Balotelli's representative insists there is no two-horse race for the youngster's signature, with a number of other top clubs still in the running.
Contact

"I have had contact with a few teams," said Mino Raiola.

"The papers keep talking about Man Utd and Man City. I will keep the names of the others to myself.

"Are Chelsea keen? Why not?"

Asked when a decision regarding Balotelli's future was likely to be taken, Raiola added: "Monday? No, every day in the transfer market is decisive."

Inter supremo Massimo Moratti recently claimed that he is unaware of any discussions regarding the sale of Balotelli, but it appears to be only a matter of time before a deal is struck.

I would love someone to punch his agent in the face. Please God, why not?

Agent trying to start a bidding war.So i guess you can count United out of this.

a bidding war isn't a problem if the player wants to go to a certain club. It depends if we even want him and then if he wants to come to us he'll do what he does but again, his agent is clearly feeding his client bullshit. Would do well to get rid of that fat cnut

£35m? That's big money. Probably as high as we should go, assuming there's any truth to this.

According to tgcom Balotelli's future will be decided in the next 48 hours. Shitty had offered 30m + 2.5m salary and we are still favorites with 35m for Inter + 5m salary for Balotelli. Shitty should offer a better offer in the next 48 hours but the main obstacle remain the salary.
That doesn't make any sense City are paying Kolo £100K a week, Adebayor £160K and Yaya £220K.

why would we want to go for Balotelli, a winger, and a cnut when winger is not exactly what we need ASAP. ANd 35 mills on top of all. I call bollocks.

Maicon-Balotelli, 48 ore decisive. Ultimo sforzo Real e rilancio del City

EUR 35m at the going rate would be GBP 30m. And EUR 5 million salary is about GBP 80k per week.

It's not going to happen. It's reasonable to think that United ARE interested in Balotelli, but in competition with City, the amounts being quoted are nothing short of ridiculous.

I'd be more hopeful of Sneijder, if as expected Mascherano goes to Inter. IF United is indeed interested in Sneijder.

either they are making up our interest to get more out of city which is strange because we're not exactly the most convincing club to help leverage the price or we are interested and have tapped him up to sin in attempt to make that price stick. All these clubs apparently interested and only us and city have made bids..hmm. It could also be an attempt to get us interested.

Still no denials though i am sure there will be soon but at the same time you just never know with us

I agree with you. On the other hand maybe SAF considers Balotelli as a future great while Mancini sees him just as another kid useful to have around to beefen the strength in depth of the squad. Don't forget that at 19 he won't have to qualify in the 25 men team. I know its far fetched (and I don't believe that either). Stating that I can't see any other possible scenario where that story could be right.

Balotelli is not a winger. He's played on the wing, but he's a striker.

I'm not sure I want us to sign him. We already have Berbatov who when things don't go his way can have a negative affect on the team because he gets frustrated. Balotelli can be a useless asset if he doesn't gel with the team. At least Berbatov is desperate to do well. I can see Balotelli just refusing to try or give a shit if things don't go his way.

Pus, I don't see the immense talent either.

It's nonsense, we're obviously not going to spend £30m on a player who has barely proven anything when we could go and purchase someone better for a similar amount. City have bid £26m which is already an obscene amount, they will probably improve the bid shortly and take him for £30m+. He isn't really all that, he may develop into a fine player, but £30m? My arse.

Yeah, because the last cnut we had on the wing was shit for us, shouldn't want to go there again.

Ronaldo wasn't a half of cnut that Balotelli is, Ronaldo would die for the shirt, he always did his best and trained hard to develop into a player he's now, Balotelli is just a cnut with no workrate at all.

I agree with you. On the other hand I do remember the Italian media laughing their arse off because United bought some 18 yr old from Portugal for an amazing some of 12m. United dont mind spending good money on kids.

Rooney wasn't a £30m player when we paid that for him, aged 18. You obviously have to pay a lot over the odds for the potential a player possesses.

Balotelli's potential is immense, and in this inflated market I can see him going for £25m-30m. However, much of it will be installments and depending on clauses, so won't be paid out unless he does indeed fulfill his potential and leads the team to success over years to come.

His record in Serie a good. I'm sure Sir Alex would look at the value over a duration of time. He's only 19. He's certainly strong enough for the premiership.

Oh I think he's got the talent. If he sorts his attitude out he could be worth big money.

That's the thing. If we belive in a kid we will pay what it takes and none of us know Sir Alexs thoughts on the player

Yeah, because the last cnut we had on the wing was shit for us, shouldn't want to go there again.

Ronaldo was/is to some extend selfish and egoistic cnut with petulant behaviour on the pitch but gets along fine with team mates and manager and follows his managers instructions.

Balotelli is a selfish and egoistic cnut with petulant behaviour on and off the pitch, has disrupting influence when it comes to the harmony in the dressing room, doesn't get along with his team mates, nor the manager.

I can't think of any active footballer with worse attitude than him.

Balotelli is not a winger. He's played on the wing, but he's a striker.

most of the time he plays in the wing. He's established striker yes.

To be honest, is he anywhere near the talent Rooney was when he was 18 or 19. I mean Rooney was unbelievable for his age. He was better IMO than either Messi or Ronaldo at the same age.

I would say he is as talented as the three you mention above. How he develops over the next three-four years will determine if he can become a truly world class player.

He certainly has the talent though, of that there is no question.

Former Inter Milan assistant boss Sinisa Mihajlovic has told advised young striker Mario Balotelli to join Manchester City.

Mihajlovic worked as an assistant to Roberto Mancini, who is now manager at Manchester City, at Inter Milan.

I’m happy my friend Balotelli could work again with Mancini at Manchester City,” Mihajlovic declared.

“There he’ll do better than he did with (Jose) Mourinho.

“I like his character even if player can be a bit mad, I prefer them to regular players. Clearly, then he is a challenge to manage. But you should be able handle it and it’s not just a problem isolated to Balotelli.”

Looking more and more that shitty will be his destination.

Where does this leave Adebadadadbabadabayor, Santa Cruz et al?

This really is buying for the sake of buying

Jo
Felipe Caicedo
Benjani
Carlos Tevez
Roque Santa Cruz
Emmanuel Adebayor
Craig Bellamy
Robinho

some of them has to go to make room for Balotelli.

Won't be easy to get all those deals done, especially with the players on MASSIVE wages.

The wage inflation kind of ties the players to the club.

Sinisa Mihajlovic? I doubt he has much of an influence

Yes he is and no Rooney wasnt, he was better than Ronaldo but not Messi.

Messi should come to England. Spains a league of fairys :) Rooney at 18 would have pissed all over the Spanish league
