To be fair they were bound to be linked with him sooner or later and it makes perfect sense because they need a creative midfielder badly. We won't sign him anyway so it doesn't bother me all that much to see him rumoured to be on his way to City.

Really? How does a team with David Silva, a reinvented Yaya Toure and to a lesser extent Milner need another creative midfielder?

Firstly Toure was never re-invented. Before he arrived at Barca he was an attacking playmaker at Monaco.

Second , they have decided Silva suits them best on the flank and they prefer to use one forward. Thus it makes sense for them to sign an attacking midfielder playmaker who can potentially rake in the goals as consistently as a Lampard, to support their lone forward. Hamsik is that type.

Well they are wrong, shunting a player of his intelligence and skill out wide is daft.

Also, I didn't know that but he less a playmaker now and more of a box to box destroyer who closes down high up.

Because, rather than let a team gel, it is better to throw lots of cash at an overnight cure, that generally never happens. Isn't it?

If a manager can "create" a need for a particular type of player, he looks as if he has a plan, a strategy, a way to improve.

It is all bullshit.

Spain won the Euro's with him on the flank. He is more useful wide for City simple because he doesn't score reguarly enough to be great in the hole for their one striker system. That is why the've quickly realised even Yaya isnt the solution there. Hence the interest in Sanchez, Hamsik and Sneijder

That is why it makes sense to drop him back into Barry's role and place a Sneijder or a Hamsik in the role he plays now. Or a hybrid half 9/winger like Sanchez.

Good grief! Are you Mancini's case builder?

What a load of tosh. They buy because they can, or more likely, before their spending power is curbed in line with their income.

I see this as a panic buying summer.

Likewise, wise one!

Your knowledge of all things football astounds me....... but I still think you are talking great piles of shite!!

As usual.
More garbage.

First of Einstein, I wasn't building a case for Mancini. Rather I was simply talking about what I saw with Man City as a team. If you on the other hand are are stupid enough to believe they have everything they need to start consistently challenging for trophies right now and only need time to gel, and are just spending under him for the feck of it, you are dumb indeed.

First off, you consisitently talk shite and today is just another day where you try to impress by bluster. The only difference is, I took the bait.

They are FA cup holders( a trophy) and as far as I am concerned that is not a bad start. It just so happens that on the way to winning that trophy they tore us a new arsehole.

They may need a player or two to progress but as usual you seem to be the Oracle of all things football and sometimes you talk piles of shite.

As I said, the difference is, I took the bait.

Bluster? Took the bait? My foot.... From the first post you've made on this page you've been talking shit like trying to call me some sort of Mancini supporter. I'm doing you a favour to even reply to you frankly whilst you continue to act this stupid.

... they tore us a new arsehole.
What? A 1 nil defeat for 10 men equates to being torn a new one?
and you claim it's me talking shit? Seriously?

Say what? Were you not saying a not long ago ''Good grief! Are you Mancini's case builder?, What a load of tosh. They buy because they can, or more likely, before their spending power is curbed in line with their income. ...I see this as a panic buying summer.....''..

Now all over a sudden you say ''they may need more players''?

Geezz...

but as usual you seem to be the Oracle of all things football .....
:wenger: Typical. Another poster with nothing original to say. Find some other spin. That one is getting lame because of how untrue it actually is.

As I said, the difference is, I took the bait.
Nah. It's me who actually took the bait and bothered to abase my self with replying to you. You are just a typical wind up merchant who I wont waste any more time on. I don't need to be infracted because of posters of your lousy calibre. You obviously incapable of posting any sense. is the perfect response to anything you post, I'm sure of that now.

Rubber man,

I see, as always you cut bits of sentences up and try to score points. You are without doubt a total looney that continues to fill these boards with posts on the law according to the Chief.

You really are a bag of wind.

:boring:

chiefs multi-quote is working order it seems. Didnt even take it our of second gear though

I find it funny when people talk about a player who used to play a different position, in Silva's case was LW where he was also linked as Giggsy's replacement, now when Valencia tried to convert him to the centre, people forget that he was once a very good LW....

Also his style of play never really is stuck on either flank, he'll be deployed there and like Giggsy will have the ability to drift to the centre and also dictate play with his great footballing skills...

Silva's that good, he'll do well whether deployed left or centre.

Really? How does a team with David Silva, a reinvented Yaya Toure and to a lesser extent Milner need another creative midfielder?

They do when Silva mainly plays on the wing and Milner isn't really all that. Toure has some creativity but he strikes me as a box to box midfielder in midfield trio, like he played in Barcelona (although he was mainly a defensive midfielder there, with amount of possession they enjoyed he was free to go forward), with either de Jong or Barry as a holding midfielder, it leaves an open space for a new playmaker. There is no need to play Barry and de Jong at the same time.

Napoli midfielder Marek Hamsik has indicated that he is ready to consider a switch to AC Milan this summer.

The Slovakian playmaker is under contract in Naples for four more years and has previously always stated that he would be happy to stay.

However, speculation over a possible move elsewhere has never disappeared and the 23-year-old has been giving a lot of thought to whether a departure would benefit his career.

He is prepared to let Napoli make the final decision but is aware of links to Serie A rivals Milan and yearns to experience greater success than he has had to date.

"It's difficult to predict when is the right time to leave," he told newspaper Pravda. "I have grown a lot with Napoli in these past few years.
Happy in Italy

"I'm young, but I still haven't won anything. Not a league championship, not a cup competition. I would say that it's time to win something now.

"It's true that president Aurelio De Laurentiis doesn't want to sell me, but nothing is for certain. I speak to him regularly - he's fun and generous. I can talk to him about anything.

"[Milan boss] Massimiliano Allegri and [vice-president] Adriano Galliani have praised me and joining Milan would be the turning point of my career."

A number of clubs outside of Italy are also understood to be interested in Hamsik but he maintains that he would prefer to remain in Serie A.

"I don't want to leave Italy," he explained. "I've been here for seven years, I've learnt the language and made my name here.

"I'm happy on the peninsula and I feel that I am suited to Italian life."

Cocks firmly back in pants...Oh well, shit hair, shit tattoos, feck off.

AC Milan CEO Adriano Galliani has claimed that Marek Hamsik will not be joining the club during the summer asNapoli's asking price for the Slovakian is too high ... Napoli reacted to those comments by slapping a €40 million price tag on the player, who is contract to the San Paolo side until 2015, and Galliani feels that their demands are excessive.

If Napoli geniunely believe they can get that much for Hamsik, then good luck to them. He's not all that anyway.
23 years of age with stats that put everyone else we've been targetted (apart from Sneijder) to shame. Gerrard, Modric, Nasri, Lampard pales in comparison at a similar age.

What about his club stats?

I only saw him in the World Cup, and cack is the word that comes to mind

Yes he was cack at the world cup, so was Messi, Ronaldo and Rooney. In fact he's been cack this season for Napoli as well(which i say once again is because he has been played out of position) yet still kept his stats high.

Ok a quick Hamsik comparing guide.
Hamsik at 23. Played with Napoli. Scored 41 goals for Napoli with 140 appearances.
Nedved at 23. Played with Sparta Prague. 12 goals with 68 appearances.
Gerrard at 23. Played with Liverpool (Captain). 22 goals with 136.
Lampard had just joined Chelsea, with West Ham he had 147 appearances and scored 24 goals.
Don't forget Hamsik has been injured, out of form and playing in a totaly alien position this season and has still scored 7 goals already.
So FM can stick it's stats up it's arse.

here we go just for sata. In fact I need to update it.

edit: just updated.
