I find it hilarious that you believe it simply hasn't occurred to one of the most successful managers of all time that he could try either on the right.
It's bloody mental, first it's Martial isn't starting in PL but only in CL. Now that Martial is staring in PL the goal posts are moved to why both aren't playing. If both starts every game then the topic would be Jose is burning out young players.

Lukaku is trash when the team is trash. Can't do anything himself. Martial & Rashford upfront would be much better.

Lukaku is worse jumping about like a fish - Martial should be played upfront or he ends up doing the same thing, simply cutting in all the time.
standard, but so many fans blinded when he's on the bench. He is most effectove against tired opposition in final 20 mins once Rashford has made them ragged.
Attacking from both sides might help. Just a thought

Rashford is the better player.
Rashford deserves his starts. He keeps the same intensity throughout the game.
I don't care what Martial does when he comes on when we are already 2-0 up, that's not what wins us games or trophies. His movement isn't good enough. He looks a better player than he actually is when teams open up against us. You can say the same for most players. Mourinho doesn't fully trust him and rightfully so.
That's the current situation IMHO. As good as Martial can be, it is not enough to displace Rashford who is also playing well.
Martial fans need to calm down a bit. No one is being unfairly treated.
So you would bench Lukaku to play them both upfront? You are massively overrating Martial and Rashford.
You are under rating something you have not seen yet - whilst I am doing the opposite.

You want to bench Lukaku for Martial? You think Martial is a better striker? Or is it just so Martial looks better? He wouldn't even look better up front he'd look worse.
And you probably won't either. You're ignoring we have Lukaku, and realistically we will be looking to upgrade on the ones around him, if we want to compete with the best. I don't see Martial and Rashford reaching the levels they need to be for us unfortunately, especially Martial.
This isn't about Lukaku as a player - this is Lukaku playing by himself centrally - he needs a partner who can play of the consistent long balls playing in to him; there is no reason why rashford or martial can't do that in partnership & if Lukaku has an off game then Martial & Rashford can start in partnership. None of that has happened except today when guess what? Lukaku had a another striker to cross the ball to - that's right Lukaku crossed the ball. Before that he was just jumping around trying to consistently find the ball.
Not going to happen until Zlatan is back. Get over it.

Given the amount of goals we've scored late on in quick succession you could argue we definitely have struggled to score this season.
Martial has a Mahrez type laidback approach on him. Has anyone ever noticed that when things don't go the team's or his way he dissappears and kind of stop trying ? You will see Marcus running all over the pitch even if the team is losing by a large number. That is the mentality of a future world class player. Over the entire history of football, it has been proven that talent and skills alone isn't enough to suceed at the highest level and i'm afraid Martial could soon follow Memphis's path. As i'm not really sold on Lukaku yet, I say play Marcus and Zlatan when possible. Lukaku has a suspect work-rate aswell.
Are they both incapable of playing in the same team? We're so used to Fergie putting the best attackers on to win a match.

Think Mou should try to bring Rash to the right. Having both of them on the pitch the same time would make us much harder to predict. We are playing nearly all our attacks over the left side (no matter if Rash or Martial are on the pitch) because we don't have any special player for the right side.
It's impossible to know if it's not tried for a few games. Mourinho doesn't even seem open to that idea.
