Marcus Rashford (out)

Feck me, it must be exhausting to have to answer the same fecking questions about the same fecking player week in/week out.

I really feel for Amorim.
Nobody is forcing him to give these multiple paragraph answers. He can say "Let's move on from Rashford questions". He has told his reasons multiple times and he is just repeating the same thing in every press conference.

Nobody forced him to.

I really enjoy the way Amorim talks but I agree with this now. He should say that he's given his answer and until there are further developments he won't be making any more public comments on Rashford.

It would help his own stress levels to start with. Also a player like Martinez has had a brilliant week and gives his all and it's boring to see that overshadowed by a player who hasn't played well in ages.

I liked how Sir Alex dealt with the Rooney situation. 1 statement, put it to bed and then refuse to comment until something actually happens.

I much prefer this to his previous comments. Feels more balanced and puts the ball firmly in Rashford’s court. Have to say I’ve never been more interested in seeing a training session though - reckon if they made the next one PPV it would generate enough to fund a new striker!

Yep, I’ve said this in other threads. He’s just providing the press with a new sound bite every 48 hours. It’s mad, especially when we’re trying to offload him.

Didn’t realised Ronaldo was found guilty of rape?

He's not been found guilty of being a "decent lad" either. Weird how you're perfectly capable of thinking for yourself at one point, and then have to surrender your faculties to the justice system the next.

looks like he'll be staying with ornstein saying no club is far along, and now amorim slightly opening the door knowing he might be stuck with him until summer. As expected, there is simply no club in the world who rates Marcus Rashford as highly as Marcus Rashford does. West Ham is his level at best and he seemingly isnt interested and possibly wondering why Madrid couldnt use him over Vinicius

I find it's very well said by him, he has recognised that the team could benefit from Rashford but his efforts are beyond ridiculous.

While also not affect his value as the manager clearly rates him but is at heada with the player. That another team will need to snap him up if they want him before "he changes his way" and United benefit from it all. Realistically it won't happen but it puts that into the minds of the interested parties.

What exactly are you trying to say about Ronaldo?

If he refuses to leave, and we are stuck playing him (personally I'd like to see him rot in the reserves but I guess with his disgusting wage Amorim will be stuck using him) if he dare stroll around the pitch in his customary fashion, looking like he doesn't give a shit, I hope the fans in OT let him know exactly what they think of his "effort"

He's had offers to go elsewhere but refuses to go because he thinks he's above these clubs that want him (and are probably the ones actually at his level) and won't take a wage cut

Just go

I think he's staying tbh, can't blame teams for not wanting to pay those silly wages for a player that's been poor for 3 of the last 4 years. Just isn't worth it to them.

If he does hopefully he sorts himself out and can contribute for us.

Were stuck with him and his wages. I will never understand someone that thinks they’re immune to hard work at this level of football. It reeks of things coming far too easily for them in the past. Even if I was upset with the manager I would do my best to prove them wrong. Weak mentality.

Was thinking this today as well. Every press conference there's a question about Rashford, like anything would change in 3-4 days.

Bullshit. No way a Turkish club are paying £300/350k a week to a player, even if only for 4 months.
Neither are we to be fair; it's very well documented our players take a 25% when we're out of the Champions League. Is it really that outrageous to think a Turkish club could pay what, £225k for 4 months? Osimhen isn't far off that is he?

In the full clip, Carragher essentially outs Ornstein for providing positive PR for Rashford in exchange for information from his camp. Carragher quickly moves on from that point as I think he realized he had put Ornstein in an uncomfortable position, and it was noticeable that Ornstein looked slightly sullen as the conversation continued.
Yeah I loved that tbh. Scholes was grilling him aswell. You can tell those kinda players from the last generation hate all this current PR nonsense and slimy journalism that goes on these days
