Marcus Rashford (Out) | Rashford: “For me, personally, I think I'm ready for a new challenge and the next steps.”

Except it's not January yet, and we don't even know if he informed the club of this, yet. If this runs on until the end of May it'll definitely be a huge distraction for the manager.
Didnt the club brief he was going to be moved on…

You’d like to think this has been done with a move more or less sorted. If not then it’s a rubbish thing to do from Rashford really.

It shouldn't be. He either is commited to the club and his role in the squad or he isn't. This should determine whether he'll get more minutes or not. It's not like we need him. He doesn't fit into this system anyway

Someone linked to this on Reddit. Unreal pace back then. He’s not been that fast for a while.

He's a player that guarantees PSG at least 30 league G/A every season + lethal transition threat + x factor in any big game, be it a domestic game vs Marseille or a big CL tie. They also have players like Lucas Hernández, Skriniar, Kolo Muani and Asensio on astronomical wages so Rashford won't be the one they're not willing offer anything IMO.

There are absolutely reasons why PSG might want to sign Rashford although I hope he won't go there, as it's a soulless, artifically built up club.
you sure about that? why not 32?

I assume Foden is going to be Everton and Palace level after this season, too?
He has single-handedly ruined my Odds Draft. Been 2nd one goal off the top for weeks on end, so yeah, he can feck off to Everton.

Still disappointed it's turned out this way, but it seems best for both parties.

I stand by the fact that he was on the verge of being world class before his injury against Wolves. The first half of the 19/20 season was probably the best I've seen from any outfield player here since RvP and Carrick in Ferguson's last season.

Yep, that we're looking at a cultural reset and are open to offers for him as soon as January as a result
Not just him though, the entire squad more or less I thought they briefed (or someone invented)?

It will be interesting to see the posters that make cheap jibes and personal insults which in their sorry heads must sound funny will turn their ire on next. There will always be someone else for them.
It will also be interesting to see which perennial underperforming player you guys will choose next to back to hilt regardless of the number of chances they were given to improve. Clearly the betterment of Manchester United football club is not on your agenda. A classic example of player FC.

Who will you target next?

Unless it’s Saudis, people will get a reality check in terms of Rashford’s true market valuation, my guess him leaving on a free transfer without us paying him off is the best we can hope for given his wages and performances for the past few years.

Ah look, we're never going to agree on anything if you believe that. In my honest opinion, giving players like Rashford and Pogba the gigantic platform, and keys to the club like worshipping vs what they've actually served up on the pitch is why the club has been a collosal failure for over a decade. Players with severe victim mentality to boot.

I'm not sure what the bolded part means. I always see stuff like that mentioned but not sure what they really mean.

With this statement, he just confirmed what we already knew and it’s that he’s mentally weak and checked out. If a player isn’t willing to fight for their place, they don’t belong here. For him to give this statement a month before the transfer window opens and we likely won’t be able to sell him until summer anyway just shows he’s given up here. Try our best to sling him in January and bring in a replacement.

Januzaj, Martial, Williams too. Teenagers who were brought through at a club that pampers and spoils them like superstars before they have achieved anything. The players have to take some responsibility but the club failed them too.

Yeah agree.

It's hard anyway to keep young footballers grounded, the money makes it very difficult.

But we've been terrible at it.

I think Williams might have been the worst case actually. Incredibly over promoted and over paid.

Amazing news he really took his medicine well and seems determined to knuckle down and..oh wait

I didn’t expect you to actually pick someone. Good to know you’re open to it though!
Of course. Im not blind and i wont support any player who doesn’t fight for the shirt. I supported Marcus a lot when he was coming through but last few years have shown that he is not motivated enough to excel for the club. Good luck to him and hoped he turned it around but that never happened.

We have allowed complacency to settle in for far too long, this should be a warning sign for anyone who thinks they can be here and not perform upto standards.

Agree! I think this is for the best and hoping the club are setting high standards now.

I beg to differ. Loan with an obligation is the same as a transfer.
What makes it obligatory for sancho? - Meaning what in his performance would make it obligated.

Can’t say I can blame the guy for wanting a change. The oddest part is the timing, he’s been here through our worst times. Who wouldn’t have been disappointed in the over all ten hag signings, and the way we’ve been the last couple of years. Oddly even we might turn it around now with Amorim.

We will end up paying a percentage of his wages wherever he goes (other than psg). Not many clubs can afford to match 350k a week (if that's what he's earning). He ain't going to take a pay cut at his age.

He was never going to be world class. Rashford could only dream of having RVP’s technique

Most likely - will still be worth it.

Sad, but his head hasn't been at the club for 18 months now, or he's physically not fit. Maybe both. Best for all parties to move on.

Here's a thing I've noticed though, we're all rightly happy about the potential return of a merit based team hierarchy........... but mention the possibility of Rashford and Garnacho rising to the challenge and turning it around and its a problem for some? ......huh?
Are people really against reintroducing Garnacho? Yeah he's cocky and can be frustrating but the talent is there, he's just having a wobble in form which is expected for someone his age.

Rashford's had 1 chance too many, people are understandably at their end of their tether with him. Sympathy for him ran dry years ago.
