Marcus Rashford (Out) | Rashford: “For me, personally, I think I'm ready for a new challenge and the next steps.”

with those comments he has to go in the january window and yes PSG seems like the logical choice given their financial backing but more so they are desperate for an attacking player

one thing that has to be a certain is he can't be sold in the premier league...has to go to a foreign club

Every time he runs to the press, this is very on brand isn't it. The exact opposite of what he should be doing keeping quiet, working hard. let your effort in the pitch do the talking.

I'm never bitter to ex-players so if that's the direction all the best. Very disappointing from him though.

Truly hope he can get back on track elsewhere. He's had great moments here, it's gone downhill but it doesn't erase the good stuff he did earlier, and it won't change that he'll always be a boyhood United fan and academy graduate.

Curious to see where he goes though. He can still be a top player once he sorts his head out, and sometimes that just requires a fresh start away from him usual upbringings.

Wherever he ends up I hope it works out for him and he has a brilliant future. Been poor for a few seasons but I’ll always remain fond of him and be rooting for him and his success.

People keep mentioning PSG but I could actually see it being Milan. They seem to absolutely love players who weren’t quite up to it in the PL but can go to Serie A and thrive. We’ve sold them Pulisic and Tomori and they now have Tammy Abraham as well. He’d fit right in there and probably do really well.
They have Leao. Pretty much the same profile

This has been a long time coming. I thought it might happen towards the end of the Rangnick stint but he eeked out one more good season for Ten Hag. It's become clear that this just isn't working though and he's now an awkward fit for Amorim's system.

It's in everybody's best interests for him to move on. Good luck to him, hopefully his next move can be beneficial for everyone.

“I’m halfway through my career. I don’t expect my peak to be now." Really Rashford? You don't expect to be at your peak now? At the age of 27?? Probably talking mentally.... cause physically he seems done, mentally he seems like he's 19 at times.

if we can get 55-70m for him in january that would be a LONG way to helping Amorim get in a couple players during january that he knows would help the team overall

Hopefully something will happen early in January & we can all move on.

Sounds like he’s off then. Feels like he’s trying to jump before he’s pushed.
He’s already been pushed he’s just trying to own the narrative.

This isn't the bombshell team Rashford thinks it will be.

Majority of fans will be happy to see the back of him.

It's the right decision for all parties for him to go. It's a chance for him to get a fresh start somewhere else. I think him staying at this point is flogging a dead horse, it's done, it's over. Good luck to him and thanks for the good memories.

Obvious shout is PSG and he'd probably do well there. Otherwise Saudi could be an option if he cares more about money than his career.

Failing that the only option would be heavily subsidised wages or low transfer fee to compensate I would guess.
Like Maguire who chose to stay when other clubs couldn't match his wages I would expect Rashford to be the same.

Absolutely the right move but always hurts a little when an academy graduate leaves, especially at an age like this and a career that should've yielded a new Man Utd top scorer. A lot of blame on him, a lot on the club.

Always sad when someone who has been here since childhood leaves. Probably the best for both parties in this case though. Really hope he doesn't join another PL team.

If he’s making comments like that it feels like it’s been agreed with someone already.

PSG?

Puts to bed he isnt injured then

Christmas has come early

Lost a lot of respect for him when the stories about his attitude started to surface. Then he missed training having been on the piss in Ireland he should have been removed from the squad back then I do wonder if ETH had the power to do that

It’s extremely saddening as a United fan who really likes him as a player and person. He went from the best player in the league two years ago to our 3rd best winger now.

Shocking to see the situation escalate to this point, but a parting of ways is certainly best for both us and him.

If true, this is just like a new signing.

Instead of not taking the day off, he opens his mouth and just nonsens comes out. If he cared about football, he would have stayed and practiced on training ground.

yeah will be interesting to see how we shift him. The wages are ridiculous obviously. Loan with obligation to buy perhaps, but really gonna be tough to see a great deal for United. Will be curious to see if he takes a paycut for anyone or thinks he is still some world class player

Hopefully gone in January and it would be best for everyone if some mystery injury was discovered to keep him away from the training ground and OT in the meantime.

It's a shame but seems his head is out of the door and rest of his body now needs to follow. January window not a great time but the hierarchy should immediately set up a bidding war.....

My 6 year old still thinks Rashford is our best player from his purple patch 2 years ago haha. He will be gutted, however I’ve planted the seed quite a bit over the past year that he’s not great. Hopefully Amad can take that hero role after he watched him on Sunday.

Best player in the league is a helluva call. Oh well,
it’s the right decision and hopefully beneficial to all parties, especially United.
