Marcos Rojo possible exit

There were a lot of tweets about him possibly going to Everton, seemed like a bit of a briefing.

The real question is does the briefing reflect the truth or just what the club would like the truth to be? First there were links to Wolves and now to Everton. You'd be forgiven for thinking someone was trying to smoke out a willing buyer...

Hard to believe anyone could watch him play (when he isn't injured) and want to spend £20m+ on him.

Rojo is a great professional and has put in big performances for us but he's not exactly a title winning starting CB.

Everton move would be great for all involved. Especially £30m!

Rojo will do alright at Everton. We just need to get rid really. I'd drop the asking price right now if the asking price is putting any teams off.

:nono:

Everton has high fee fetish. You want to keep Rojo?

YES feckING feck OFF ROJO! Sorry I just never liked him or rated him, its the thigh tats.

If the club gets anything more than 20m for him, then Woodward and Matt Judge deserves a medal.

From Wolves to Everton, anyways hopefully this is true. 30 million for Rojo is a fantastic deal for us, which should help in signing new CB, both in squad slot and transfer fee.

It won't affect United if he leaves.

If this happens, we'll have sold Depay, Schneiderlin, Blind and Rojo for around 80 million. That's solid business from our side.

Rojo is our weakest defender. Even Blind was a better CB than him (both pretty terrible LB's though). Had one small patch of form, which wasn't really all that great imo, but that's been it.

Good to see him go as he was just never good enough.

We're significantly better at getting money for our players than we were under Lord Jesus Christ Gill.

£20 million + for Rojo would be cracking business.

You not a believer in Gill, or just not a fan of his followers?

A corruptible arsewipe who pissed all over the supporters, contributed to the demise of the playing squad (Woodward/Moyes/Van Gaal/Mourinho are still picking up the pieces) and rid the coat tails of a genius during that time. He also signed off on Moyes; a truly terrible appointment that a stronger CEO would have nipped in the bud prior to leaving.

That he has some sort of cult in here is hilarious.

How do you mean? If won't affect United because he wouldn't be playing much anyway? Or it won't affect United in terms of how much will be spent on transfers?
In terms of quality.

fecking hell, get 30M for Rojo and Woody deserves knighthood.

If good-but-not-world-class defenders like VvD and Macguire go for north of 60-70 million, Rojo is worth 30 million for sure. He isn't a bad defender, just has the occasional bad game and can't pass the ball if his life depended on it, as he always punts it long. These flaws make him unsuitable for us, but he would be a good buy for Everton at that price.

He's not average, he's the grandmaster of panic anytime a good attacking player runs at him. 30M would be a fair price if he did not have lettuce for brains.

I liked him, lot of passion and aggression that we lacked back there. Decent technique as well, I'm surprised to see people saying he can't pass - thought at was arguably his best trait. If we get 20m+ I'll be very happy

To be fair 45m for Blind and Rojo is pretty decent.

Northwards of £40M for those two is phenomenal business, and surely that should mean that we can be more flexible on Darmian's asking price.
How soon can we get these deal concluded..!!

I agree, he is very underrated on here. Injuries haven't done him any favours, he is too good for Everton.

Same here. I like him, and personally would rather keep him than Smalling or Jones - but imagine them being English helps. But if we can get 25-30m that's a good bit of business... Well, until we spend 70m on Maguire (I like Maguire, transfer prices has just gone mental)
