Rojo is LvG's first real signing, the first guy that we brought in that he actually wanted so that gives me a bit of encouragement that the boss knows what hes doing. Not his biggest fan but he'll have his chance and hopefully he'll prove me wrong.

They're telling their fans that they got more from the deal than the (less than) €5m they appeared to be entitled to get on a €20m deal. I'm assuming that's some combination of how the deal was structured and maybe even a settlement with Doyen as well.

I´ll translate the important parts:
Sporting sold Rojo to Manchester United for 20 million Euros. It´s divided in three payments, 10 millions are payed immediatly, 5 millions in 1st december 2014 and another 5 millions in 1st July 2015. Spartak will get 4 millions and Doyen will get integrally what they invested because of our legal dispute. It also says that Sporting will get 20% of the fee if United sells him for more than 23 millions. We get Nani for free. United pays the 100% of his wages.
