 Mr Cole is that you?

Hopefully he'll be worth it. People want us to just pay up and get things done on quality players. If the player isn't all that good then penny pinching does makes sense. But I understand the point you're making of course.
Tim vickery said this morning on talk sport that he was shocked to see rojo make the move to old trafford .
Vickery said "I'm not saying rojo is a bad player but having watched him for some time i never thought he would sign for a massive club like united ".

Just hope LVG can make him into a star

So why is he left back for Argentina if he isn't all that?

I must be the only one who thinks that girl isnt actually amazingly attractive. I mean I would, but shes not stunning!

We are on a roll.

4 signings already in 2014 and we still have just under two weeks left.

Personally, prefer to get some more attacking threat and a midfielder. Can live with that for this year. Top up in January, if required.

Your optimism is not welcome here. Be gone, fiend!

Because they have a dearth of top class quality at the back. Demechelis was in their side, do you rate him on the same basis?

Fair enough. That's why I asked the question. Gotta be better than what we've got though huh.

Yeh I'm with you mate !
Vickerys pretty knowledgable when it comes to South American players but he didn't sound convinced he was united material .
Let's hope he proves to be as good as heinze was in that roll .

Vickery doesn't follow football in Europe closely, obviously Rojo has developed a lot since leaving S.america.

That would be nice.

No idea, haven't seen enough of him but I think it's safe to say from everything we've heard that he isn't top class, not right now anyway.

And he wouldn't be in our plans so we'd sell him.

Also, Bebe was one of the best wingers/wide forwards in Liga Sagres last season so it doesnt mean a huge amount nor that we'd give him a chance.

We should have just been selling Nani for around £14 million and buying Rojo outright even if we'd have to pay more
He was the best Portuguese... most of the players aren't Portuguese

Nani's reportedly on £95k a week. So if there's anything truth in these rumours, we're paying him £70k+ a week to pay for Sporting this season. For a squad as stretched and ridden with injuries as ours, its a silly bit of business.

We should either

a) Sell him
b) Loan him with the recipient club paying his wages
c) Keep him and use him in the squad, regardless of how frustrating he is.

This halfway house nonsense strikes me as a bit desperate.
Nobody wants to buy him because his wages.

Like i have already said, this is a very big compliment from a manager like Simeone : Atletico Madrid coach Diego Simeone: “Rojo won the hearts of the Argentines at the World Cup. He was very good both attacking and defending. [Alejandro] Sabella put his trust in him and he responded really well. He had an excellent World Cup and was the best left-back among the four semi-finalists.”

He was in the team of the tournament at the world cup.

lets give the bloke a chance honestly how many can say that they knew a whole lot about vida or evra for that matter before they signed for us?

Breaking news on the portuguese news channel. Rojo on his way to Manchester. On the plane with his family

Simeone knows his stuff when it comes to defending/defenders.

Any mention of Nani?

Im delighted. I think he is really joining us on loan for a year. Apparently first he said no but then changed his mind. It´s on "O Jogo" website that he´s joining, they very rarely are wrong.
