No it doesn't say nothing. It says English players are overpriced compared to foreign talent.Jones had the potential to become world class, still has, but that he is a capped world cup finalist says nothing, demichelis also is one and even Romero is one, and yet de Gea costs more than Romero? Overpriced Spaniards? No that's not how it works.
It´s not only 9 million. Here is the CMVM communication: http://web3.cmvm.pt/sdi2004/emitentes/docs/FR51803.pdf
I´ll translate the important parts:
Sporting sold Rojo to Manchester United for 20 million Euros. It´s divided in three payments, 10 millions are payed immediatly, 5 millions in 1st december 2014 and another 5 millions in 1st July 2015. Spartak will get 4 millions and Doyen will get integrally what they invested because of our legal dispute. It also says that Sporting will get 20% of the fee if United sells him for more than 23 millions. We get Nani for free. United pays the 100% of his wages.
Wow so much for our massive war chest.. Christ
Is that £5m next July a set fee or is it made up of possible add ons?

I agree that English players are overpriced but this is a bad example imo.No it doesn't say nothing. It says English players are overpriced compared to foreign talent.
Ah, I see, cheers. It´s not only 9 million. Here is the CMVM communication: http://web3.cmvm.pt/sdi2004/emitentes/docs/FR51803.pdf

Another deal done by overpaying because our CEO has no idea what he's doing and that's his only way to close deals.£16m + Nani's wages in full for a year!! That can't be right?
You're bitching because United are not paying enough for the player?Wow so much for our massive war chest.. Christ
Would that be our problem or Sporting for terminating the contract? That wont be the last we hear of this...
Stop moaning. Most deals are done in installments. Not many are paid all upfront at once.

Do you ever have anything positive to say? Who cares how the deal is structured?
I'm fairly certain he will, because he's left-footed, even in a back-four. Was the same with Badstuber. It's good to get this deal wrapped up. What kind of CB is he? Do people think he'll be first choice?
Unless the ownership structure described up to this point has been entirely incorrect that'll end up in a legal battle. To me it looks a very opportune thing to try from Sporting. I think @Sly said that they were paid £400k for approx. 40% of Carvalho. This, if they could force it through, would get them out of that.
During times of inflation those who owe money win and those who are owed lose and that's why it will always make more sense to structure a deal if possible.Wow so much for our massive war chest.. Christ

You're a Fecking muppet.

It does make you wonder if the Glazers are really prepared to spend 60-70 mill more. I hope I am wrong but it would explain we haven't stumped up the cash for Vidal or Di Maria yet.
No idea to be honest. Id imagine that is what is being sorted right now.Would that be our problem or Sporting for terminating the contract?

Excited to see Rojo in action for us, especially seeing how excited he is to be here.
My question though is regarding the whole Nani business..is he joining them on loan for the season, with us paying his wages? or was he involved as part of an exchange, and we are just paying his first years wages? Sorry if i missed it somewhere, didn't see that anywhere when i was reading through.
