Don't do it to yourself! If that translation is accurate then all he is saying is that he will train with the team again. Not that he is not leaving.
Although it would be a little stupid to do this press conference and then leave the club.

So when it seems that he we were signing him, some ppl.were moaning about him not being good enough.
now that he seems to be staying at sporting, ppl moan because we fail to sign him.....
what a bloody farce...
Why would it be?
If anything it makes more sense in the context of him staying than leaving.
Don't do it to yourself!
It´s like this everywhere. If you read our forum, some suffer from short memory and are apologizing him already.
We're hopeless. He might still come but ffs, he handed in a transfer request, refused to train, fell out with the owner and we still can't sign him. You have to laugh.
No there were some translated quotes saying that he's leaving and he thanked Sporting for the opportunity etc.
No, not at all.So did he confirm that he is staying?
So did he confirm that he is staying?
There might be the possibility that United didn´t do any approach at all and since no club step forward after those fake United reps/Doyen reps, the little rat wants to remain at the club now and play in the Champions League. This whole sage is so confusing. Even for me.
I’m thinking the same thing, it is a possibility we never wanted him and it all messed up. This must be more complicated than what we see in the papers…
He said that he was happy at the club and that he loved Sporting. Whether that is enough for him to stay at the club, i don´t know
BBC did confirm a bid though, they're by far the most reliable source around. There is no proof that United did an approach at all. But there is proof that Nélio Lucas the Doyen stooge sent a fake United rep to pressure us to negotiate the player. I mantain my opinion that there will be closure in the last transfer days.
Seems like the standard quotes from someone who wants to leave but wants to have a career at his current club should the deal not be finalized.

They did? Do they have insiders at Sporting´s board? Because our President didn´t confirm anything besides the Doyen fake United reps.
Well, if we didn't want him, who the hell DID we want in this transfer window? Except the two players we got and Vermaelen, all we hear about other players liked with us is that we're NOT interested....
Didn't LVG confirm we were interested though or did i just imagine that? There is no proof that United did an approach at all. They'll have got it from our end.

The counter story to that is the BBC story that talked about us "still negotiating" and confirming to Manchester reporters that we "like" Rojo. Doyen may have jumped the gun but I do think we are somewhere around. I think the reason the original Sporting club statement didn't mention United by name was to keep the door open to a direct approach (from us or another club).
I wouldn't bet on it.There is no way we do not sign this guy. We are not that incompetent.
