I think Mourinho keeps it simple for them, it helps. He and Jones don't need to be overthinking their position, just destroy, win the ball back and pass it on.

Sure they aren't world class but they are certainly good enough for the majority of league games.
 
TBF he's seized the chance he's got and should be rewarded with a run in the team as CB.
 
He's been doing very well since Mourinho moved him back to the centre-back position.

After Pogba he was my MOTM, put in a lot of work covering Darmian and defended one on one's well.
 
Has looked really good recently. Seems as if his head is more focused on football matters now.

Would be nice to see how Bailly/Rojo would work out.
 
He's too limited as a centre half for me, every time he gets the ball he panics and hoofs it anywhere.
 
He looks leaner, but that might just be because he doesn't do his hair anymore...but he's a good footballer who is versatile. He can pass better than Jones and Smalling.
 
2 or 3 posters still hate his guts and won't admit he's been pretty good recently. We can't all think the same I guess.
 
He has been ok for a few games, nothing more.

Still not good enough in my book. He is a good player to have in the squad, I do not want him to be a starting CB.
 
He's 100x better at CB than he is left back. He and smalling were actually quite good together, wonder if he would get on with Bailly or would it be a disaster
 
His clearances are terrible. He continually puts them back into a dangerous area. It is just a matter of time before it costs us. Apart from that he has been good though.
 
He's got that grit about him as if he is not about to take any nonsense. Obviously, he will miss some of those tackles making absolute howlers, but when he is on song like today he makes defending fun to watch. Damn fast as well.
 
The worse his hair looks, the better he plays. I can't be the only one noticing this.
 
must be like playing against that scrappy kid at school. Just keeps kicking aggressively until you no longer have the ball no matter how he has to do it. Must leave every opponent bruised.

I thought he was superb. Probably his best game for us.
 
That was impressive from rocky Rojo. Probably our in form player right now
 
He's been great since Mourinho moved him to the centre-back position. Deserves to stay in the team and the same thing can be said about Jones.
 
Thought he was brilliant today.
Hes a good cb by todays standards imo.
I wouldn't be in a rush to replace him.
