He was, I pointed out the element of his game which is very frustrating considering it brings a lot of chaos which could be avoided.

Then why not bumb his thread with a positive and then mention that he needs to work on his clearing?

Coming in here only to moan when a player has played well is shitty.

The people who wanted him sold know nothing about football
Based on this one game?

He is similar to Ramos or Luiz in many things, although he is inferior to them quality-wise - he has everything physical/technical skill to succeed as a complete defender but he lacks brains to do so consistently. Which still means that, given a chance, he will be brilliant if not flawless in some games, like today

He has pleasantly surprised over the last few games. Never been a fan of his but he has actually looked quite dependable and that is a word I would never have thought I'd use about him. So clearly a CB rather than a LB, let's hope we have put that to bed.

No, I've backed him since day one. He is a brilliant centre back, strong, reads game superbly, great tackling and decent on the ball too.

Good on you Rojo. Against all the criticism you've come into the team and played very well.

Could have been a lot better on the ball, but he had a good game defensively. Him and Jones both played well and they worked well together, with one always sitting back as the other attacked the striker.

Good player, just needed the mentality adjustment that Mourinho's influence appears to be helping with.

I give him a lot of crap, but he was superb today. He has been great since he moved to CB, long may it continue.

You also appear to be a backer of Memphis Depay, so there's that....

Dwelled on the ball a bit too much, his passing was awful and he's the most one footed player I've ever seen.

Despite that, he still did pretty well. He's a good pure defender, but he needs to keep it simple on the ball when pressed. He's decent on the ball, but not great.

More one footed than Valencia who didn't touch the ball once with his left foot for his entire career pretty much?

Better than Jones. Expect more from him on the ball although I'm not sure if that's a Mourinho 'first station ball' thing.

We have ball players in the centre of the park with Carrick, Herrera and Pogba. We should be getting the ball to them more from our defence.

Him and Bailly is going to be such a likeable defensive partnership, methinks. Both just ooze positivity and love for United.

He's been much better as a CB than a LB for us, he was shocking in the latter role but the last 3 games at CB have been good, today being the best performance he's had since his first season here, needs to improve his distribution though.

Another good game. Gave it away a lot but he is one of those that does try and play penetrative passes from the back, unfortunately today most of them got cut out, whereas against the Swans they were getting through.

Rojo has really been quite good since moving to CB. More than happy to keep him for depth at the very least, he's probably above Smalling in the pecking order at this moment in time.

Wish he got that header on target though.

Terrible at LB, decent CB and was good today.

I rightly criticised him many times for his play at LB but always knew he could do well in the centre.

He took control of the back 4 and made it his responsibility. Shame we conceided at the end but I thought he was the Marshall at the back today. I'd like to see him paired with Bailey when both fit.

Valencia runs over to say hello

Yes, more one footed than Valencia, who has put crosses in with his left, and they're reasonable crosses. Rojo made a couple of right footed clearances today which were awful. He learned from it, and made one later on with the outside of his left.

I'm not using it as a stick to beat him with though. He still played well today. Shame he didn't steer that header on target.

he's a great passer one must say and doesn't panic on the ball and when is in this mode, he's just like possessed, chasing everyone very tight with players... defo a starter for me now

He was alright... but ultimately, he missed a fairly easy chance to go 2 up, his passing is absolutely crap, and he was part of a defence that conceded from the only chance the opposition had...

I saw someone call it outstanding... I mean. outstanding!? Really!?

He must be the best passing natural defender we have. Not sure what some people are saying about him not knowing how to pass. Okay so he doesn't do David Luiz/Bonucci passes, then again, who else does?

Agreed with the points and iv always been an fan tbh, had a good spell I think early last season too but that was completely forgotten by people. Seemed unlucky as he often got the heaviest of crunches against him when playing as a left back so a couple of times got injuries there. Im hoping he can develop a little more compusure in his game when the whole team is in our half defending and he's first to clear because he's a decent passer of the ball and maybe we can start counters instead of always him hoofing a little aimlessly, but overall well played Marcus.
