He seems very happy at PSG.
Nah, it's not the domestic competition. He wants to win the CL, and he'd rather do it with PSG(he loves living in Paris) but if they can't do it after 6 years, maybe he'll look elsewhere. The other possibility is he loses motivation and decides he needs a new challenge.I think that it's going to depend on how Monaco, Marseille, Lille and Lyon handle this summer. They all have money and at the exception of Lyon they all have excellent managers, if they manage to do what they want to do, the league should be very strong and a player like Verratti won't be tempted to leave.

Still true.
Is this how transfer threads work now? Player has a great game and a transfer thread is bumped instructing we must sign him?
This isn't transfer worthy at all and damn you fools for making me think we've been linked with my favourite player I want United to sign most. DAMN YOU ALL.
Not really, we are usually linked with a player before a transfer thread is started. This should be in the FF really.Isn't this how it always works?
PSG is very attractive to big players regardless of the ligue1And to be actual CL contenders, they need to consistently attract players. At the moment the Ligue 1 isn't attractive and that fact will only change when the other teams start to perform in Europe and in the league.

Plus they investes heavily in the academy and with all the talent around in france, they don't really need to sign players from outside the league
I don't rate Passi that highly but it would be great for Lille if he prepares the ground for Bielsa.I think that it's going to depend on how Monaco, Marseille, Lille and Lyon handle this summer. After long years of downwards slope L1 is on the rise again and the future looks exciting, any of the top 5 clubs will be more attractive and hopefully even more will be able to hold onto their best players. More competition is good for Paris.
True but you can never take anything for granted with El Loco.Bielsa is supposed to join them this summer.

Back to Verratti transfer rumours:
Marco says the quotes about him dreaming of playing in Barca were made up. He is very happy and winning here represents much more than it would in any other club.
best italian player
would be perfect for MUtd
How good is this guy? I have only seen him maybe two or three times.Rabiot was also excellent...

However he concludes by saying his move will be only to a 'top' European club. Maybe he could be the one we may miss out on if we potentially miss out UCL. Cheeky bid maybe.. ed?
Bring Verratti to Utd!
Barca-PSG 6 - 1 is a sign
I thought they were skint?Barca makes sense.
They are, with wages and whatnot, and probably won't be able to make this happen unless PSG is accommodating. I meant in football terms though. I think he's perfectly suited to their midfield, whereas Real don't need him.I thought they were skint?
Everyone needs Verratti! They are, with wages and whatnot, and probably won't be able to make this happen unless PSG is accommodating. I meant in football terms though. I think he's perfectly suited to their midfield, whereas Real don't need him.
They never buy players they don't need...They are, with wages and whatnot, and probably won't be able to make this happen unless PSG is accommodating. I meant in football terms though. I think he's perfectly suited to their midfield, whereas Real don't need him.
HAHAHA yeah that has stopped them before. How is James doing these days? They are, with wages and whatnot, and probably won't be able to make this happen unless PSG is accommodating. I meant in football terms though. I think he's perfectly suited to their midfield, whereas Real don't need him.
Why are Barca so broke? Hear this all the time on here, surely with their global brand they should be swimming in riches?

Not for 100m+ though. Whoever signs Verratti won't be doing a lot of other business. So priorities have to be about positions which need reinforcing the most. Real have the best midfield in world football, so I can't see them wasting their entire transfer budget on one injury prone midfielder. They seem to be moving away from the Galáctico policy under Zidane anyway.Everyone needs Verratti!
I think we're seeing a more restrained RM with Zidane as manager. They're not outspending everyone any more, and they're playing players like Casemiro and Kovacic (as well as Isco, who's started lots more than you'd expect). It's working for them too. They never buy players they don't need...
