Marco Verratti

His injury record, makes the world record sum we would need to get him too risky.

Whenever I watch him he seems to be pretty damn class. Really like him and Rabiot as a pairing from what I've seen tonight.

Even for PSG to even consider selling him I think it would take a bid upward of £150m, also every top club in the world would be sniffing around, we'll never see him here but incredible player.

Great player but not the best midfielder in his team. Rabiot made a monster performance. Huge huge talent.

I agree, Rabiot looks the real deal
French have the best young players in the world. By a distance. Martial, Rabiot, Dembele, Coman, Laporte, Kurzawa, Monaco's entire squad...

Verratti is the best midfielder around on his day, though.

Didn't he say that he'll leave PSG when they with the Champions League? It's on
Although he seemed to favor Barca from what I remember, and he would be a fantastic signing for them, rejuvenating that midfield

Completely agree. Break the bank Woody !! The lad's 21! Imo Verrati is a luxury, while a player of that calibre will improve any team, a player with Rabiot's characteristics is something that we need. There is going to be a natural overreaction to a performance like this given the opponents but I hope United are keeping tabs on Rabiot. His evolution this season is quite encouraging. His contract situation means that he's also gettable.

When Pogba signed for United I wasn't too arsed as I thought it was going to make the team more unbalanced and had fancied Verratti better as they have different roles, so yeah I would prefer this guy at Madrid but I don't know if he even wants to leave PSG.

Can I bump my is Verratti wasting his career away at PSG yet or shall I do it once they win the CL. Guy is such a maestro. He'd dominate any league he plays in.

That thread :D

It's truly a joy to watch him every match.

Can you see him leaving at some point?

From my understanding there is no way to leave PSG, unless you run down a contract of course.
I have a hard time imagining in which conditions the PSG management would sell him, the fans would obviously like him to spend most of his career at the club. @Downcast sees him moving eventually in 2018, it seems difficult to me.

Yes, definatately fits the profile of an Arsenal signing
He does. Skilled, would work well with Xhaka and Cazorla. Will be costly but Arsenal spunk money occasionally. V will be there this summer, mark my words.

During summer there were people saying he is hiding at PSG !!!

My favourite mid after Scholes and Pirlo.. He looks so much like scholes with better tackling but not shooting .

This.

Going by Rabiot's performance against Barca, he'd be the best Carrick replacement we can find.

They have 2 young Dembele's and you missed out Pogs. to be fair, France always have the best "young" players but seldom become the best international team. 2 years ago they did not feature in the under 20's world cup or the European championships. The German youth teams won something before they evolved to world champions, as did Spains.

At youth level France do not put the best teams but the same age class at the exception of U21.

 If, and it's a big IF, Veratti becomes available, all the big teams in Europe will be fighting for his signature and he will go for mega bucks along with a massive salary. Arsenal will be blown out of the water on both counts.

Also, in which universe will Veratti go for Arsenal when he will have the pick from the best teams.

Barca gave him far too much space. Their midfield had no legs and was far too easy to play through.

Verratti is obviously a class player but they made him look even better.

wow, Verratti is really very good player and his performance against Barca was superb. but he is impossible target and his injury record makes me worry.

This.

agree. awesome player to replace Carrick. Pogba - Rabiot - Herrera

What a player. Brilliant to watch last night. I hate these 1 dimensional players who either "throw themselves about" or play the "pirlo" role or whatever. Midfielders should be able to do it all and this man can.

Veratti would cost between £80m and £110m, and would be being offered £250k minimum a week by the top clubs.

A club like Arse couldn't afford the fee, let alone his wages.

He joined the club in 2012.

If he wins the Champions League, he will say 'My objective is attained. I need a new challenge.'

Otherwise, as his agent says, he might lose patience in 2018 or 2019.

In any case, impossible that he leaves the club this summer.

He's unreal. What a player.

Would transform any side in the world.

Shame we're yet to see more of him. In terms of CL and also on the international stage.

I think that it's going to depend on how Monaco, Marseille, Lille and Lyon handle this summer. They all have money and at the exception of Lyon they all have excellent managers, if they manage to do what they want to do, the league should be very strong and a player like Verratti won't be tempted to leave.
