Veratti is not a slouch when it comes to tackling and getting around the pitch. If we sign him, we'll have a perfect combination of midfielders that will complement each other. Herrera will be the defensive enforcer, Veratti the playmaker who controls the tempo of the game and Pogba would be the creative player. But unfortunately we won't be signing him since he'll be way too costly.

Too costly , and dreaming of barcelona. And besides i think Real may part with Modric soon for his age and uventus or bayern would be waiting, In any de gea deal he's worth getting for few years as a DLP alongside Pogba which will add a exp head and carrick can retire. I agree of course. Jose tried to sign Valencia from us when he was Madrid coach but we refused. I guess it depends on the players. If their head is turned, there is not much we can do other than try to get the best deal possible.

Yeah we need to make few of these shrewd signings like Juventus. They somehow seem to extract a few more years from players who appear to be on the decline. Pirlo, Evra, Tevez, Alves, Mandzukic are all brilliant signings.

Barcelona seems the likely destination of course if Verrati decides he's had enough of PSG.

He'd be the perfect replacement for Carrick. I know Verrati is tiny but he packs a punch in midfield and isn't afraid to get stuck in.
