Marco Verratti

Henry got it spot on. He bossed the midfield all night even with them being down to 10 men. What a talent he is.

Sign the fecker, this is the guy we should get

Remind me of a hot headed Modric. Light, quick and plays and simple but such effective quick burst 1-2 football.

What's the point? Your manager wouldn't use his strengths - he'd also play him out of position probably

Haha. No seriously hes looking for an 8 and this is the guy.

Why would he come? We have to be realistic.

Why would Pogba come? Why would Bale come? If we get UCL I don't see why he wouldn't tbh if he was inclined to play in the EPL

Pogba has his choice of clubs, United or PSG? Bale is clearly unhappy & just may be shown the door, so he might be available. Verratti is a key player in an excellent side & I would think, worth paying anything we might offer in wages. Why would he come?

He does have a serious case of angry midget syndrome though. I get being aggressive and committed. However, he's pretty rash and needs to gain a bit more composure without the ball and learn when to 'turn it on', so to say.

Even Blanc had problems earlier on this season with his indiscipline and tendency to collect yellows. Great performance today though, both defensively and on the ball. Has the makings of a top player.

I already said it in my previous post... if he was inclined to play in the PL

I agree with that. He's probably far from the easiest player to have in the team considering that.

I think we need someone like that in our midfield tbh, yes he needs to tone it down, but we're a bunch of pussys in there apart from the big fella

Verratti isn't usually this good, aggressive or hard working. It was a very strong performance though, but I agree that we would need someone who played like Verratti in this game. I think that both the mood of the match helped a lot of the players today look very good in that regard though, with some taking a step further and crossing the line completely.

This was his usual self. He works hard constantly and is aggressive too. Just look at the amount of yellow cards he's stacked up. He is a YC waiting to happen because of his aggression. Don't know what you're on about.

We should definitely sign one of PSG's midfielders, they have Motta, Matuidi, Veratti, Rabiot, Cabaye + Luiz played there last CL match. They can miss one.

And they want Pogba

Don't agree. I think he usually has less intensity about him and he's a very aggressive player on a regular day but today he looked a level above that. I think this can be considered a for Verratti very good game rather than his average week to week performance for PSG.

Every time I've watched him this season, he's shown the same level of intensity. He has a tendency of being nonchalant though.

Anyway, let's just agree that he is an exciting prospect.

I'd be all for a Di Maria-Verrati switch.

Would just like him to keep his cool a bit more really. He's young, so he should learn it eventually. Just at the moment, every game I watch he seems as if he's going to get himself sent off or guarantee a booking.

I love how he slide tackles everything and anything

Not sure PSG would be, though.

How is Rabiot doing? Another big midfield talent at their club.

He's been good when playing but that midfield is already very strong so he's not far up the pecking order. Cabaye and Pastore are their back-ups or tactical options for the central midfield so even breaking in there is going to take time for Rabiot.

Motta is 32 though and Cabaye is 29 so it could open up a spot soon if Rabiot is lucky.

What a man. Even though the most exciting moments came after he was subbed off, I still think he was man of the match for PSG. What a heroic performance. It wasn't just the his fighting spirit that impressed me, but also his ability to give the perfect pass more often than not. He'll probably see quite a few red cards in his career, but he's the sort of player I'd want on my team. I'd switch any of our midfielders for him in a heartbeat.

Like him a lot, even if he is constantly picking up cards.

I doubt LVG would be interested though. Verratti is only 5'5" and (assuming Strootman and Rooney are an indication of what LVG thinks is missing from our midfield) our midfield signing is likely to be a more physically imposing player imo.

He was brilliant in the second half, completely controlled the midfield, Fabregas and Matic couldn't get near him.

Preposterous performance. I reckon he'll be a Barca by the Euros.

We need a CM like this that can control a game under pressure, it's a separate requirement to the powerhouse CM we need.

Young and completely bullish! Would love to have him. In reality, looks extremely difficult to get. Lucas and Pastore are more skillful and not as commanding as Verrati. The only player PSG would be likely to sell is Cabaye.

Absolute beast ! One of the best young midfielder in the worls no doubt about that

Paris bought him 11M€ and will probably sell him one day for 40/45 M

I doubt PSG would sell him,but certainly this guy would add fresh energy to our MF.I would love to have him here.
