I'm referring to how we see the likes of Chelsea and so forth manage to conclude deals pretty quickly ie personal terms agreed, acceptable offer get made and bang 48hrs later the player is theirs.

What you're saying is also very true, if only we could fast forward and not have to endure this shite. I used to love it but it's become rather tedious for me in the last 5-6 years.
 
I never thought i'd see the day when we were envious of Chelsea's transfer activity.
 
Because we are the geek in the corner of the club watching the hot girl reject the hot guy near you, now knowing you don't have a chance with her.

Probably but in this situation United have nothing to do with Reus the man who wrote the article knows that Barcelona have been rejected "officially".
But he still put United in the story just because he heard that United might be interested, Paris are interested, Madrid, probably liverpool too, i don't see them suffering a blow.

I understand that but the lack of moral behind this wind me up, because this article and others are detrimental to United image, The club has nothing to do with Barcelona failure and he is not only associated to that failure but also singularized in the failure which is madness.

Like with @Red Shorts analogy if the pretty boy has been rejected, the geek doesn't have to take the rejection for himself.

I don't think anyone has ever mentioned blaming Van Gaal.
Woodward is a different kettle of fish and I'll reserve judgement until the 31st of August.

IMO, once Van Gaal gets back from the WC our transfer activity will kick into high gear. I get the sense LVG isnt one to trifle.

That requires mighty good scouting though, which we have not had in a couple of years now. We've gone for the hot girls in the past 2 years, and bagged an accidental 2/10 in Fellaini, but we were absolutely wasted on Transfer deadline day and picked up the easiest girl.

True, we need a keener eye in transfers than we've shown over the last few years. We got Marouane because we didn't want to leave the dance alone.

Facebook fans are the worst on united fan pages, they believe everything. Nobody on the forum has blamed Van Gaal.

So do I and I'd imagine Van Gaal giving Woodward a roasting if he doesn't deliver.
 
If reports to be believed he is not happy with Barca buying Suarez and not him....is it worth making a cheeky bid for him now?

Well it certainly means we will have 1 less club to worry about if we truly are interested.

Don't think anything will happen with Reus until next season though.

Reus to Barca wouldn't ever make sense. He is a very direct player that would get lost on Barca setup.

I hope that Madrid don't get bored with Bale next season and go for him. We should definitely try to get him if it is possible. He's one of the best players in the world and better than both Sanchez and Di Maria. In fact I would say that only Ronaldo and Robben are better than him from wingers/winger-like players.
 
His release clause comes into effect in 2015. United will be back in the Champions League in 2015. It's on. Believe.
 
Those reports are coming from Barca press who think every player is desperate to joing them.

First they said Kroos was rejected twice by Barca, and now Reus is upset.

The going rumour is that he is pretty pissed off Barca didnt come in for him and pay over the odds when they have just spunked a shed load of cash on Saurez who wont even be able to play.

The more interesting bit of the rumour is that Barca did such a good job on him that he turned us down because he thought he already had a deal. Muppet-tastic stuff that.

Meanwhile he is personally and very publically stating that he is certainly playing for Dortmund next season, effectively risking the same treatment his buddy Götze (including a massive blow to his image) got last year. All at a time when his biggest personal sponsor is in negotiations with his current club about becoming a share holder, creating a strong identification between them.

With that all going down and nothing coming from the German side or anywhere close to himself, his agency or his club I know what to make of this "rumour"...

You cant blame him for wanting to join Barca though. Most likely LVG decided against him.

Decided against Reus and Kroos. This cannot be right. Has he seen what he's inheriting? I give it 1 game into the tour.....

I very much doubt he decided against Reus, more likely that Reus thought he was off to Barca and snubbed us or had no intention of leaving Dortmund this summer.
