Just imagine his level, when he's ready to play in another 2 months or so.

Best game by far. Getting to grips with the league and playing with actual tactics. Should continue to progress

That pass for Garnacho was just outrageous. Didn't know he had that in his locker. Cleaned everything up with Casemiro, two of them were a wall.

Going to be a monster for us under Amorim.

What a fecking performance. If we get more of that then what a player we have.

You could see his confidence building too because his first half impressed with his defensive work but in the second it was the technical moments that stood out more.

Clearly shows he excels more in a two in CM than as a lone DM.

Really growing into it. Looks like a really solid defensive midfielder, and he is improving in his passing. Good to see we may have a player here.

Good game. Can't wait to see how he performs once he's fully up to speed

Take a bow. I was very skeptical initially. But boy, this was one heck of a game. Too good.

It would be nice to have Fabinho/Fernandinho type, who just disrupts opposition attacks and is a general bastard to play against

Strong performance, has a really good engine to keep putting himself into good areas, occasionally he gets beat by overpressing, but the volume of his pressing and recovery work is high and you can see as he gains confidence during a game that he starts to expand his passing range. It isn't his strength but it is reliable enough when alongside another who can play the more progressive passes consistently.

Yep. That’s what everyone had you believe, with the agenda that was written up by the media and the bellends on social media before he’d even kicked a ball for us.

Fantastic player. Just what this team needed.

I hadnt ever seen him before he played for us, there was lots of noise about him being a destroyer and not great on the ball but he looks great on the ball to me, his passing range is excellent too.

I suppose he’s proved he can mingle with bottom-half fodder. I hope he can bring this form into some bigger games now, because he must’ve had a good 10 or 11 tackles and interceptions today.

Great performance, but we really need to see it against a good team sometime soon as well.

I’d say his confidence was at a high, the incoming manager saying nice things and the temporary manager utilising you properly.

Very good game, keep it up

Interceptions, tackles, passing, reading the game... everything exceptional today. I guess one of those games where one can do no wrong.

No wonder Luis Enrique didn't fancy him in a dominant domestic team, he looks far too limited.

So poor in possession.

Stupid decision to sell Fred to then sign a lesser version of him

A disaster. Was like watching Fred on a bad day on the ball and Amrabat off the ball. A careless fouling machine.

He did some good things but the last thing this team needs is another player like Casemiro who is highly error prone.

Good at breaking up the game. His passing is awful though and I think it will hold us back massively.

Yeah.. so far, not good.

Reports that he’s poor on the ball look to be bang on.
A club like ours has no business signing players who are not great on the ball. We shouldn’t compromise on these things.

OH Dear

Why are you quoting one off games where he was in fact terrible as some gotcha moment? Besides, I wanted him here all summer and I'm glad he is doing well, but when he has a particularly bad game I will call it. Just as when he has a particularly good game, like today.

"Its only Leicester" some are saying on twatter. Exactly! That's why he's been brought in. To not let teams take the piss out of us. Regardless of the opposition.

He's been quietly good for a few weeks now. Slowly but surely settling in.

You can clearly see him adapting to the league as his challenges are not as late as they were when he first started. That's why players need game time when moving to the PL. He doesn't have the passing range of Eriksen (none in our squad do tbf) but he still has a pass in him and he tries to hit them with decent success. That's why he's better than McT in midfield, McT hesitated to progress the ball far too often.
