Manuel Neuer

A lot will depend if Bayern make it into the CL next season. If they don't, and they're not in position at the moment, he may decide to go elsewhere.
 
I hope this is Christiano Ronaldo Mark 2 and Fergie doesn't want to leave the stadium without him

I've heard the bayern rumours but we need to everything possible to get him to OT.

Said it at HT in the match thread but he is so reminiscent of Schmeichel it's untrue.

Priority number 1 Sir Alex, get in that dressing room and sweet talk him. Gill is in the stadium, get down there and thrash out a deal. VDS aside, I've rarely been so impressed by a keeper.
 
I'd be willing to part with Bebe for him put it that way.
 
Until the goals he had nothing to do in the 2nd half and the shots looked savable to me, especially considering what he did in the 1st half. How the saying goes now...a keeper of United's quality should be good enough to stay focused and best to his abilities even if there isn't action in front of his goal for a long period of time. Just saying like.

He said he doesn't want to leave Germany.

And if he's made up his mind, Fergie isn't a telepath and there's nothing he can do, except maybe offer ridiculous wages and turn his head, which is a stupid idea:nono:
 
Can we maintain a bit of a sense of perspective here - he put in a good performance, very good in fact, but how often do we see keepers play blinders against us? I hope the club do a lot more than one game of scouting to decide upon Edwin's successor.
 
Tonight wasn't the right time to make a move.

Next week we can just kidnap him. Or steal his passport so he couldn't leave England. Or something.

Well, you are quite correct. I've seen very mediocre keepers having blinders in terms of great saves. But Neuer isn't one of them. He is the real deal, and it's not based on tonight really.

Do calm down. He's the German national goalkeeper, and United have been being linked with him for 2 years. Then he has the half of his life tonight and you expect this thread not to get a few posts?
