Hope he plays this:

----------------DDG--------------------
Jones------Rio--------Vidic----------Evra
-------Carrick-----------Fellaini--------------
---------------Kagawa-------------------
Zaha--------------------------Welbeck
-----------------RVP------------------

Bench: Lindegaard, Smalling, Evans, Valencia, Anderson, Nani, Hernandez

Really hope Young and Giggs won't be in the team, also need to see Zaha and Kagawa get some games.

Im not talking about standard rotation that every top side does Im talking about resting key players, because Palace should be a walkover. Its one thing resting like for like, but if people are suggesting you rest DDG, RVP etc then thats where it becomes a problem. Dont you remember what happened when you rested for Blackburn two seasons ago? Or when we rested Mata and Hazard vs QPR.

Know what you're saying, but we had a bit of an injury crisis going on as well, so it was bizarre Fergie chose that game to disicpline Rooney, Evans and Gibson.
Was that the game we started with Park and Rafael in centre mid? Surely the most bonkers combo ever.

I had Rooney as captain in the old fantasy footy too, so was especially gutted,

Chelsea resting Hazard and Mata v QPR was indeed breathless arrogance.

Nani needs to start. We need him to get back to top notch ability, as he's arguably the most creative force in the whole squad. Him and Rooney probably.

----------------DDG--------------------
Fabio------Rio--------Vidic----------Evra
-------Carrick-----------Fellaini--------------
---------------Kagawa-------------------
Zaha--------------------------Nani
-----------------RVP------------------

Although its only cp I hope we put out a strong team, I think with the injuries we've had we've not had a chance to get the likes of kagawa and nani in with the other players much. Hopefully they'll both play and we can get a good hour out of them before resting for the CL.

Would imagine that Evans will play if fit, giggs as well. But hopefully we can get kagawa and nani playing. If moyes wants to see what kagawa can do he's got to play him and this is a good opportunity.

nice line up. probably would consider swapping welbeck with kagawa but happy if one of them starts.

one of rio or vidic might get a rest as well, so evans should step in.

would be nice to see rafael getting a few minutes here as well, if he is back fit again.

We bloody well better put out a strong team and bounce back in style. No game should be seen as a walkover in this league, that's just setting yourself up for a big fall.

I did actually consider these points but for me Welbeck has had more games for us this season, so would like to see Kagawa get a few minutes...

Rafael obviously, where he is injured it might make it difficult :wenger: I wouldn't want to rush him back though, rather allow him the time,

Good points regarding Rio/Vidic, can see Evans starting also, that's the change I would make so...

DDG
Fabio Evans Vidic Evra
Carrick Fellaini
Kagawa
Zaha......... Nani
RVP

Substitutes: Lindegaard, Rio, Rafael, Giggs, Valencia, Welbeck, Hernandez

NB - Providing Rooney isn't fit.

so fabio is and has been available?
shinji has a game on tuesday in japan. that should allow him to take a morning flight(japan time) on wednesday and be back in manchester by wednesday evening(uk time). that should be sufficient for him to be available right?
you haven't travelled much have you

Fabio Evans/Smalling(one out of these two) Fellaini Nani Kagawa.
These five players ought to start. Will be a little disappointed if that does not happen. Especially Fabio,Nani,Kagawa.

International travel, once a year maybe. Domestic 3-4 times a year.
What's your point?
Do you think am asking too much of him by expecting him to fly out the morning after the game? Or am i being harsh by thinking that two full days are not enough for the post travel recovery?

We need to tonk these and build up some confidence. Attack attack attack. I'm expecting us to win 1-0 or 2-0 though.

Fabio definitely needs to start at right back over Jones. I'd pick an off form Nani any day over Giggs or Young on the wing, so he's definitely in. I can't see Kagawa starting after coming back from Japan again, although I hope he does.

Not enough if you want him to perform at his absolute best. Plenty of time if you are ok with a possibility of a lacklustre game which may in turn keep him down the pecking order. Best thing for Kagawa would be to play in a game where he is absolutely at 100% so he can push his case to be a starter for each game.

Would have been useful if you posted this instead of the travel comment. Firstly cause, I ended the statement with a "right?"
Plus, even if I was traveling everyday of my life, I would have had no idea about fitness level requirements in a football match, cause I have never played a competitive game after international travel.
So, keep your dismissive, patronizing, uncalled for and stupid attempt at being a smart ass to your self for the sake of having a decent conversation. It's pricks like you that make it difficult to discuss anything on the caf.

cheer up sweety

Sadly I just can't see him playing Kagawa. :(

I think it'll be a 4-4-2 with Nani/Valencia/Young on the wings and Van Persie and Welbeck up front. Carrick and Cleverley/Fellaini to start.

Nani played for Portugal in Brazil... really think he's going to start? Having said that Valencia started in Bolivia. Young played in the Ukraine... we'll probably start with Giggs and Zaha.

 alright, princess

The tough start to the season has kind of compromised, Moyes selection of maybe Nani and Kagawa. I can understand why Moyes was really annoyed with the how the fixtures list come out. Like Fergie, he is (or I hope) probably thinking 8 days ahead to City away with Bayer Leverkusen at home in between.

Top teams are always vulnerable to losing points after either internationals or away in Europe so although he'd want to play what he thinks is his strongest team in a game United need to win, he want's to put out a side that is as fresh as possible as well.

Does he start Kagawa and/or Nani who both have had disrupted preseasons but have played 2 matches in a week on international duty(Nani in the US, Kagawa in Japan) and maybe fatigued?

Nani has already done his hamstrings twice this year after coming back from layoffs. With Rooney's fitness issue's can Moyes afford to gamble on 2 of his more creative players to start the match possibly not being 100%?

I don't think both, along with Van Persie will start the match. They may get a run out with 30 minutes left depending how the game is going ,but I do expect them to start against Leverkusen on Tuesday.

I dont want to see Giggs or Young starting, I dont care if we have Sociedad on Tuesday. This is Palace ffs.

I think Giggs should have retired last year. Now that he's still here, if he starting matches, I'd rather him start against Palace at home then Liverpool away if it is a matter of resting players.

Nobody does either, because it's not Sociedad. It's Leverkusen.

We said this every year in August/September, and comes the squeaky bum times, he would shine through, like clockworks, and extend his contract. Should learn a lesson from the last 5+ years.

Yep. It is pretty tedious how people have to look at every single possible scapegoat for every single non won game.

The Giggs criticism has been tedious for years now.
Who can forget the meltdowns when Scholes or Giggs started games last season before Christmas!

I really hope Ozil starts!

Smoking shithouses. I've to pick my sister and aunt up from the airport Saturday morning and then entertain/feed them for a while. I hadn't figured about the United game so this really does put a cat among the pigeons.

Also, This formation. I'm not too bothered who of Rooney/RVP/Hernandez starts up top and I would be happier to see Nani start than Welback.

Also, if there was anyone else in the world other than Jones at right back I'd be happier.

Dont feed them, takes up valuable minutes.

I like the look of your first team, apart from Lindegaard , why have him in the team?
I think there is no need to rotate keepers, only time you should change them is if they are injured.

Well, we host our toughest opponent in our CL group midweek, then away to City on the weekend. As well as Liverpool in the League Cup midweek after next. So rotation will be necessary.

I bet the same was said when we played Wigan and look what happened there.
A stable keeper for me is the cornerstone of a stable and winning team, only change it if DDG is injured.

*not sure if Evans/Rafael/Fabio are available. Can always play Valencia at RB

De Gea would be my first choice of players to NOT rotate. He can certainly play all three games, and Lindegaard can have Liverpool in the League Cup.

I would consider resting Persie, unless he can start all three games as well. I mean, the promoted teams surely present our best chance to win while resting some key players.

I think you have to look at all three games at once to get a good idea of who should play against Palace. Mostly my XI for this game is based on who I want to be available for the next two, with the trip to City being most important.

v. Palace (14th)
