I would like to see

DEFENCE (Fabio at RB)

Carrick
Fella

Nani
Kagawa
Danny

Chicharito

de Gea

Fabio
Ferdinand
Vidic
Evra

Carrick
Fellaini

Nani
Kagawa
Welbeck

van Persie

SUBS: Lindegaard, Smalling, Evans, Giggs, Anderson, Valencia, Hernandez.

Maybe harsh on Zaha who might well make the bench against his old club. But I'm fairly sure we'll see something like that.

Nani, Kagawa and Welbeck in the same time?

More likely we'll see Giggs and Young either side of RvP with Hernandez up front though. Bah.

I'd like to see us start with something like this team:

DDG
Fabio Rio Evans Evra
Carrick Fellaini
Nani Kagawa Welbeck
RVP

Ideally I'd like Zaha to make an appearance too and hopefully Chicharito too. I assume Rooney won't be fit to even make the bench.

------------------de gea--------------------

valencia------evans------vidic---------evra

nani--------carrick-------fellaini------welbeck

-----------van persie-----hernandez--------

go all attack please. want to see goals and goals!!!!

On paper looks like a no contest , but i feel this will end in a draw ,maybe us getting one or two.

Hope we see:

----------- DDG ----------
Valencia - Rio - Vidic - Evra
---- Carrick - Fellaini ----
-- Zaha - Kagawa - Nani ---
----------- RVP -----------

---- Carrick - Fellaini ----

I would love that.

I'm desperate for Kagawa to shine to prove his worth to Moyes.

Kagawa won't play in this one, Giggs or Fellaini will play behind van Persie. I'm hoping for a Nani start.

Hope we see:

Valencia - Rio - Vidic - Evra

That would work perfectly and we all know it. Won't happen though.

Kagawa's just come back from a long trip, it's a perfect excuse not to play him (next week it'll be because Giggs' experience will be invaluable against a team like City). He'll make his league debut this season around October at earliest.

Fellaini in the #10 at home to Palace? Eurgh. I really hope not.

The inevitability of Giggs is making my cock droop for this game.

I'm really surprised that some of you want Welbeck out of the team. Mentalists the lot of you!

Best post on this page, and it takes a Chelsea fan to post it.

Welbeck should start every time for me. He's been brilliant this season so far, for United and England.

Welbeck will start, even if just because he missed the second England game. I think van Persie is more likely to be on the bench than him.

He certainly should do because he's ideally suited to a flexible attack. The only issue for Moyes is that when Rooney's fit and he wants to play Kagawa as playmaker (wishful thinking on my part!) who makes way if Roon and RVP are the main strikers?

How has Welbeck been brilliant this season so far? He had a brilliant first game but was dissapointing in the following.

Over the top. He was excellent against Swansea but average at best against Chelsea and Liverpool.

Yep - it's a good issue to have though, isn't it. We have a great squad at the moment.

We don't have a first 11 really though, we haven't had a "best 11" for years now. We have plenty of games to give everyone time on the pitch, and a squad that should mean rotation doesn't affect results. I think there's too much focus on who is playing on any given day, over the course of the season everyone will get enough games and that's the most important thing.

So Jamie Jackson (Guardian) and the Independent are reporting that Kagawa is out today (flu). Giggsy it is then lads.
Moyes probably injected him with the flu virus to avoid playing him.
I hate him so much!!!!

I don't think Moyes wants to rotate too much at this stage but now might be the time to do so after internationals and before his 1st Champions League game.

I think Rio will be saved for Europe with Evans or Smalling to come in. Any chance we could see Januzaj?

It's games like today that Giggs should be playing,

Giggs should play when we are desperately out of ideas and none of the creative players seem to be able to conjure up anything. He shouldn't start... ever, really, there are loads of players who need games.

Not sure what the point of your posting is, I've never participated at the 'OMG Moyes is not fancying Kagawa we're doomed' discussions. Just pointing out, well you know, there are other players more likely to make an impact than Giggsy from the start. Lots of players need games (Young, Nani, Hernandez in particular), there is no point in starting Giggs IMHO.

It was not really directed at you.

Next season pre-match anticipation will be so boring with no discussion about whether Giggs will start or not :(
