Id go with

-------------DDG--------
Rafael - Jones- Vidic - Buttner
--Fletcher--Carrick--Giggs--
Valencia-------------Welbeck
----------Rooney-------

Normally Kagawa or Fellaini would be there but we need energy, determination and fight mentality to scrap even 1-0 tahts why id put up above team tommorrow.

Fletcher, Valencia, Welbeck - all big game players that will work their nuts off I hope.

Lets have a go at them!

Just to ease the fear a tiny bit. Bayern is not at their best form at the moment. I didn't see the Hertha Berlin game, but they were almost caught out when they played Mainz 05. Mainz got surprisingly many chances at a goal, and it took Bayern München forever to score, and they ended up with a 3-3 result against Hoffenheim this weekend.

I still think Bayern will win the QFs, they'll be geared up for the Champions League, more so than the league they've already won, but maybe it won't be that bad. Depends a bit on what our defence will look like.

I hope Bayern seriously under estimate us and get conplacent and we can sneak a win at home against them. In the champions league we have been fairly decent (apart from the away leg at olymp).
We need to be ready if they come out of the blocks against us the game could be over in 10 minutes. Too many times this season, I have seen us start the game really slow just trying to feel out way through the game, then when we concede we lose all tactical shape and end up losing the match.

Shape is important tomorrow. I don't care if we have to sit with 11 men behind the ball to stop them. The important thing is stopping them. They won't panic, they'll have the ball all game all it takes is one mistake and there's a goal. But that works both ways, we need to be bright and positive when we have the ball.

Look at the Arsenal game against Bayern. Arsenal were in that game if Ozil had scored it may have been a different game.

I would line up with this:

DDG
Rafael* Jones Vidic Buttner

Rooney Carrick Giggs

Valencia Welbeck Kagawa

* If Rafael is injured I would put Jones at right back and put Ferdinand at centre back.

I think Rooney in midfield is wise, he has the ability to keep good shape and be bright when he has the ball, same goes for Giggs.

We have to attack them with pace to cause them problems which is why Valenica and Welbeck should start. Kagawa can influence the game from out wide and also closes down and presses well, whoever plays on the left wing is going to have a massive job to help Buttner out.

Not sure if this has been posted but rafa is fit for tomorrow
http://espnfc.com/news/story/_/id/1768835/manchester-united-rafael-declares-fit-bayern-clash?cc=4716

"I am OK. My thigh was a little bit tight. We just wanted to make sure I would be OK for Tuesday.

Sir Alex Ferguson's side were 3-1 ahead in the second leg at Old Trafford, and 4-3 up on aggregate, before Rafael was sent off and then Arjen Robben scored the goal that sent Bayern through.
And the defender said: "It's on my mind still. I will never forget that. I played so good in the first half but then I got sent off like I did it was good learning for me. It cost United the match. It was a lot of help for Bayern when they play against 10 men. I learned from that."

Hopefully Valencia is fit, because I think rather than play Kagawa, Moyes would start Young instead. He may do that anyway and play Welbeck from the right.. Hope he has a good plan for this game and we put up a fight at least. Going to miss it due to work though :( will catch the return leg so I'm hoping we are still in the tie by then.

I really hope you are wrong and he doesn't favour Young/Kagawa for Munich, if fit our midfield behind should be

Fletcher Fellaini
Valencia Kagawa Welbeck
Rooney

If Rafael is fit -

De Gea
Rafael Smalling Vidic Evans
Carrick Jones
Valencia Rooney Kagawa
Welbeck
If not -

De Gea
Smalling Evans Vidic Buttner
Carrick Jones
Valencia Rooney Kagawa
Welbeck
I want Jones in the midfield. He is our best option in the midfield besides Carrick in a parked bus style of football.

If Rafael isn't fit, then rather than rejig the whole back 4 I'd even consider playing Fletcher there. He's played there in the past and done alright.

Leave Jones at CB to atleast retain some sort of consistency in the back 4. Moving Jones to RB and then playing a whole new back 4 could be even more disastrous.

I agree with most of that although I'd make a switch to the front 4.

Valencia Kagawa Welbeck
Rooney
I'd go for that setup. I think Welbeck's pace and defensive work would be a much better option with Robben on that wing up against Evans or Buttner.

That looks class to be fair.

I worked for the City home when they won 6-1. that was a blessing. I still havent even seen the goals from that game.

That's a stroke of luck. I've still got Silva's volleyed pinpoint pass etched into my consciousness forevermore.

I'll record it anyway though. :(

I heard Evans and Smalling were back in training.

Wouldn't be a bad thing if Rafael is out. He's been making rash challenges the past couple of weeks and when you have Ribery running at you. Jones will be more disciplined in there though we will lose abit of attacking prowess down the right wing

Evans looks ready to partner Vidic judging from the pics, he's training with the main group

Sounds like a good presser

The look of love in Moyes' eyes

Really? I'd rather Jones and Evans at CB. Vidic has been terrible recently - I really do think he will get shown up against Bayern if we don't play a really deep line.

Rafael usually plays fairly well in the big games - I'd still trust him at the back over the current Vidic.

if at all possible I would like to see Jones in midfield...especially as there is expectation Evans and Smalling will be available.

I will be dreading that. Bayern will run circles around him and with his headless chicken act he will be running around chasing shadows the whole game.
