My big fear is that that ugly little turd Robben will dive and get someone sent off.
He looks like he's worried for his job.
The look of love in Moyes' eyes

I doubt Moyes will be thinking like that. He would (or at least I hope he would) try and tell the players we need to be tight and keep Bayern out for as long as we can. Which is not wrong at all but the pressure will still be on us to perform. I doubt you will see us playing as if we have nothing to lose.
Does anyone, like me, have a tiny shred of hope in the back of your mind telling you we can somehow pull a win out of the bag? Never had this hope for the City or Pool game.
Dante and Thiago missing for Bayern.
Will that affect them?
Did they get lost in a supermarket or something?
At the airport...
Never said that. I said the pressures on us to win are reduced & that can help a teams performance.
No-one wants the favourite tags in these tie's, every team in Bayerns position always try to cool expectations because they dont want the added pressure. The Underdog tag isnt the worst thing we can have going into this game!
Look at Mourinho & Rodgers all season goin about them not winning the league. Behind closed doors - its a completely different scenario. They dont want the pressures from the media building them up. The underdog tag is where its at!
The question is can we play United style (or whatever it used to be) and come out on top tonight? Do we have the personnel?
The only time we got the better of Barcelona in the last 5-6 years was when we decided to be pragmatic & accepted our limitations. It's not about any style, it's about making the best use of resources against a vastly superior opposition to get the better of them. We got slaughtered both times we tried to take them on.
If anything this would be a forced change in RVP's absence. Using the word "Evertonization" is another way to slate Moyes and has nothing to do with our current reality.
No we simply cannot afford to attempt to play a form of United football, Moyes has no idea how to implement it and we will get destroyed. I've said it before on here that Moyes might just suit Champions league this year, and if he can cast off the shackles pointing him to playing a certain way rather than just play his own way we have a glimmer of hope.
We're going to need calm in the center tonight to have any chance which is why I would keep Fellaini well out of it, they will looking for a red card from him, his best use will be as target man to give us respite from the waves of attacks we will likely face. It's not perfect but it gives us a chance, the fear being Moyes will either not realise it or worse realise it and not go with it due to fear of people asking about the Evertonisation, it's the very least if his worries.
He needs to be brave enough to show himself for the manager he is or forget this whole sorry saga and move on.
We have a tool in Felkaini (literally) so we might as well get best use out of him and standing toe to toe with Kroos and co is not it.
There seems to be enough pressure on Moyes to get a performance out of this team and you will see us setting up very defensively and getting taken apart.

Lesser teams have carved straight through our Midfield and Defence this season and we have no Rafa and no Evra (not sure if that's a positive or not?). We're going to have to have some serious luck on our side to get something out of this but you never know. None the less, I can't wait.
This is the thing. Aston Villa has a plethora of chances to score against us. Aston Villa!
And for those expecting some mighty defensive performance... Puh-lease! We don't have the confidence, nor the coaching, to be able to park the bus. We'll get torn asunder.
NeuerWill it affect them? I'm thinking no.
Rafinha - Martinez - Boateng - Alaba
Lahm
Robben - Schwein - Kroos - Ribery
Muller
Plus, with the amount of possession they're going to have, Martinez will practically act as another CM, and he's a brilliant midfielder. He'll allow Lahm to move forward more and act as the holding MF in times of possession. They're going to crush us.

I think it might just be youIs it just me, or have Bayern managed to be something exceedingly superior to the sum of their parts? I mean, on their own, none of the Bayern players are the best in the world in their respective positions...

I don't know why, but that gets on my tits
You dont know why?
No offence TooBias, but its camp as hell. I can just picture Graham Norton or some other annoying camp feckwit coming out with that shite...

They are certainly a great unit, but they do have some magnificent players. In terms of best in the world... I'd say Lahm (at RB), Alaba, Neuer, Ribery are the best in the world in their respective positions, that is, not counting Ronaldo as a pure left winger like Ribery. In fact, I'm struggling to think of a better CM than Kroos this year. There aren't many right wingers as good as Robben. Their weakest area - relative to the rest of the team - probably is central defence, but that is mitigated by their possession game, a bit like Pep's time at Barca.
I do know. That's how my girlfriend talks when she thinks I have made a mistake.
You poor bastard. What age is said girlfriend? I'm gathering 18-20 years or younger?!
Lahm has been around for ages, but how often did he get mentioned as the best RB in the world? One of the best, yes, The Best? Not really if we are being honest.
Ribery is definitely a WC player, but as attacking players go, we can all think of better ones.
I would maybe agree that Alaba is the best LB in the world, but even that for me is doubtful. As for Kroos being the best CM on the planet, well, just no. As for Robben, forget it. He got rejected by Chelsea, then Madrid, clearly a system player.

Nah, she is in her mid-20s. But girls have this strange habit which really irritates me.
Their left back would be our best midfielder by a country mile.
How's it camp? It's more of an American thing, I think. It's just emphasising the 'P' at the start of the word. Like 'P-lease'.
I fecking can't!!!!Man, try & forget that Austria game for Christ sake - that shit just eats ya up if you let it..
What fullbacks have been on a similar level to Lahm in the last 3 years?Lahm has been around for ages, but how often did he get mentioned as the best RB in the world? One of the best, yes, The Best? Not really if we are being honest.
