Damn! Today feels so slow after the rush of last two days.
LvG will want the majority of his targets now and build from there. He'll know that some of his targets he may not get until January/next summer ie Strootman. Saying that, his targets may change from now until then.No he said he reckons we'll sign at least 2 more players.
Varane is a tremendous CB, would love him here. As for Pogba he's immensely good, but I would prefer Vidal. Seems more loyal and trustworthy for the club. In three years, I can definitely see Pogba trying to pull a Tevez or a Touré.
I always said before the summer that we will sign 3 or 4 players max. But after we already sign two players before the official start of summer transfer window and all the talk about many more to come i see us signing 5 players. The CB, CM and a winger comes to mind. If we show the money as we did with Herrera and Shaw i am confident that we will sign top players.
I am still hoping that all this Schweine talk is real because he will lift us more than any other player. About Vidal i think that if we throw Juventus €45m+Nani they will pack him bags and pushed him on the plane. They really think that Nani could still be one of the best wingers in the game.
We are not as desperate as we were before the Herrera signing but if we decide to bring one more CM in i think he will be a good one like Schweine and Vidal. No point bringing squad players.
About CB i think if we don't land Hummels we will be after one backup players. I have faith in Smalling, Jones and Evans. We will not pay more than €30m for a young promising defender because we have enough of that. Maybe we will even give opportunity to one of our youngsters if we can't bring the players we want.
We are in real need for one WC winger too because i don't think we will be playing the same formation as Holland is playing. We will be playing with wingers. Sanchez is one of the options but i think we can be very suprised with the player we will bring for that role.
The most important thing is bringing new players as soon as possible because if we bring in 4-5 players in the first team they will need time to settle.
But we need to sell a lot of players. This is as important as bringing new one in. Without CL footbal we really don't need as big squad as we have. We will probably sell Nani, Young, Anderson, Fletcher if he don't retire, maybe one of Cleverley and Fellaini, i am not sure about Hernandez because he is one of the most useful squad players but unless we decide to play Welbeck or Rooney on the wing we are too stocked in that department. I can see us selling young players which are not fulfilled their potential like Macheda and Petrucci. I think we will send on loan Bebe because he is really starting to show his potential. About Lingard we will decide when we saw who will be able to sold and who comes in. I can see him getting the opportunity in the first team.
On the selling players, I am still a bit confused which ones will leave.
I can see fellaini giving another chance as he is a very handy player off the bench, that is key for the season to come, different tactics, different styles, and we need plenty of options off the bench to change a game. What ever we think of fellaini, myself have been guilty of doing it, he still can score goals in double figures, hes scored 12 goals in one season for everton, so he could really be a great impact player when we really want to throw the kitchen sink at teams. The ones I think should be on the list are nani young and anderson, that would leave us in midfield of herrera carrick fellaini cleverly fletcher, we sign another CM player even though I feel it would a bit bad to let him go, I could see fletcher being sold. So we sign another CM player, our options would be, of? herrera ?? carrick fellaini and cleverly valencia ?? janazaj mata kagwa. The question is? which of the 2 spots that will replace fletcher? young and nani? Which CM player will be signed? and that wide player we need badly
Upfront, hernandez is the only one I can see in danger.
Ins - herrera shaw ?? ?? ??
outs - vidic ferdinand butner fletcher anderson nani young hernandez.
We haven't signed a player in almost 24 hours, this is worrying. Our expectation is that of 1 player per day until the start of the season.
Nah, not Depay:DDGBased on past few days, anything less than this will be an utter disappointment.
Rafael Hummels Evans Shaw
Vidal Herrera
Sanchez Rodriguez Depay
RVP
Mata would be useless out wide either put him in the no.10 role or sell him.--------------------DDG-------------------
Rafael-----Dante/Subotic--Evans----Shaw
------------Vidal-------Herrera----------
Sanchez-----------Rooney-----------Mata
---------------------RVP-------------------
Subs: Lindegaard, Jones, Smalling, Carrick, Janujaz, Kagawa, Hernandez
We only need a 50 mil more.
Nani + 30 mil = Vidal
15 mil = Kagawa
35 mil = Sanchez
15-20 mil = CB
15 mil = Selling off fringe players like Anderson, Amos, Buttner, etc.
I am going all muppet mode but don't blame me blame Edward. But honestly though this can happen.
I'dthink a clever move for 2 CB & CM migjt do the trick for us.no need for £30 m signings. A solid englih cb like Steven caulker & Luis Gustavo.
Nah, not Depay:
DDG
Rafael Hummels Evans Shaw
Vidal Herrera
Sanchez Mata Rodriguez

They did say 5 signings
Mata out wide is a no go. People need to stop shoe-horning big names into positions they're clearly not comfortable in. Mata and Rooney central or out of the team.
Mata is not comfortable out wide? Yes he is better centrally, but he has shown he can come off a wide position and be effective.
He's better than Rooney and Kagawa, but he's not a threat from that position. Lacks pace. It would be a waste of his talents.
Playing Mata out wide to accommodate Rooney would be utterly stupid. Play a #10 at #10 and a wide man out wide. Do not damage the balance of the team to accommodate superstars.
Rodriguez would be wasted out wide, best number 10 at the world cup behind Messi. Type of player I'd actually get rid of Mata/Rooney for - he's more dynamic and talented.. build your side round him.
Moot discussion, never going to come here but then again I can't see an opening for him at any of the other big clubs. I think if Mata/Rooney don't impress over the next season and LVG feels we need an even better player at number 10.. then he might be of interest.
For squad harmony and stuff I fear we have to do that, can't see Rooney being benched for a sustained period without a media shitstorm. I'm sure there is a way to accommodate both in a way that won't damage our attacking output like Mata starting from a nominally left position driftinh inwards whilst Rooney would push up during a move, playing a lopsided 4-3-3 in attack which mutates into a 4-4-2/4-5-1 off the ball. It depends on what the manager will want to do but I feel that both are too good and too productive to leave either out.Playing Mata out wide to accommodate Rooney would be utterly stupid. Play a #10 at #10 and a wide man out wide. Do not damage the balance of the team to accommodate superstars.
Vidal
Hummels
Sanchez/Depay
That would top off a perfect summer for us, and providing LVG hits the ground running and has everyone gelling early doors, then this team is capable of mounting a title challenge, although top 4 is obviously the priority.
De Gea
Rafael -- Hummels -- Evans -- Shaw
Herrera ----- Vidal
Sanchez/Depay -- Mata -- Rooney
RVP
Subs: Lindegaard, Jones, Smalling, Carrick, Valencia, Kagawa, Welbeck
Like it (except Depay) ,Janujaz doesn't make the bench?
And how many of you still remember Zaha?
That team would easily run away with the league, a front four of Sanchez, Van Persie, Mata and Rooney is simply unplayable when on song.Vidal
Hummels
Sanchez/Depay

Useless 'winger' from CP?

Make it happen!!!!
Don't understand why Rooney gets left out of a lot of starting line ups! He is our best player.
