Can someone who's watched him closely answer this, how fast is he really, are we talking naturally athletic or are we talking lightning?

Ok lads. With Martial confirmed. LETS SEE LINEUPS!!?!?!
What are we thinking?. Rooney dropped?. Rooney No.10?. No Herrera etc?. What we thinking we will do vs what we should do?

That is the most likely scenario as it stands right now which because having him and Depay on the wings gives us the pace that Rooney and Mata can exploit. Sadly it means that Herrera is screwed again. If Rooney's form persists then we should play Mata in behind and exile Rooney to the RW where his touch will do the least damage and he would have the opportunity to put in a first time ball.I wonder if he will play LW with Memphis as the 10 or whether Rooney drops to the 10 and he plays 9. Or will he be on the bench.
He does look seriously rapid in some of these clips. Exciting signing.
1st interview:
I personally like this IF Rooney remains undroppable. If he is droppable then Herrera at No.10 for me. Fingers crossed on De GeaMartialWould like this, plenty of pace with Memphis and Martial. Rooney getting a bit more involved and Mata drifting in to cover the gap if Rooney pushes forward. Schmidfield for now but Herrera getting plenty of playing time in #10, happy with current back 4 and hopefully Dave can get his head screwed on.
Memphis - Rooney - Mata
Schweini - Schneidi
Shaw - Blind - Smalling - Darmian
De Gea
He's quick, but lanky quick, not Sterling ass shaking quick.
If Rooney improves his touch to at least 2010 level, he can play there. If not he will just stop every attack.I personally like this IF Rooney remains undroppable. If he is droppable then Herrera at No.10 for me. Fingers crossed on De Gea
Not Danny Welbeck Lanky either though. Probably quicker acceleration than Welbeck and maybe similar top speed.

yes!. That front 3Memphis - Martial - MataI think this is our strongest line up if de Gea can become focussed, Jones comes back from injury. There is little to choose betwen Bastian and Carrick but I think Carrick has a slightly better passing range. Rooney has been average for a long time and I prefer a striker with pace and power.
Herrera - Schneiderlin
Carrick
Shaw - Jones - Smalling - Darmian
De Gea

"I will be ready when the time comes"
Erm, mate you are only striker.
Blimey. Hell of a stat that. Especially when we're crying out for players that can beat a man.
Be that as it may the way we have structured our squad makes Rooney even more undroppable now, he is our only established striker meaning that dropping him will leave us depending on Martial as the chief goal getter - talk about pressure. I think we will sign a striker in January because we are too thin on that area imo. The good thing is we now have another quick player and so there will be less pressure on Memphis to be the main difference maker in our team.Louis van Gaal terminated the contract of his captain half way through the season at Bayern. I think there will come a point where enough is enough if Rooney doesn't do as he wants.
We can't terminate a 250k per week contract though but he can be put on the bench.
Plenty of time to get a plus 1 on that Finishing attribute. He's got nearly two full weeks to develop before he starts
When is the France game?
Friday vs Portugal
Can someone who's watched him closely answer this, how fast is he really, are we talking naturally athletic or are we talking lightning?
Oh nice, that's far more important for a player than top speed. He is fast but nothing outrageous, it's his acceleration that I find impressive.
Still don't understand why we didn't bid for him when Spurs were showing an interest. He'd have cost less than £20m. Then again, our messiah does love panicking.
