The big clubs get more cynical for certain.
My other team, Wycombe Wanderers in the equivalent of division 4 try and keep to a 2 year per kit rotation.

However, last year we had our 150th anniversary kit,1 year special, then this year, a sponsor has quit after 1 year, meaning in effect 3 home kits in 3 years, so they're starting to get cynical too!

But doesn't a genuine jersey (like the ones the players wear) cost sometimes up to $300?

I've never understood the vitriol clubs get for releasing kits every season. I like being able to tell the difference between seasons by different kits. More importantly, nobody is obligated to buy kits every season, not even parents with spoiled kids who want them all.

If Adidas take over I might actually purchase that.

In the 12 years nike have been involved I've only enjoyed two of their designs.

Don't think we'd put up with it, oddly. Plus, advertising on the center of a shirt wouldn't happen. Can't really say why, there would just be a big revolt. A few years ago, a movie studio tried to advertise by putting, I think it was Spiderman, on the bases during a baseball game. Fans booed. Were so upset the bases didn't make it through the entire game.

Just looks like chevrolet, united crest, and adidas logo poorly photoshopped over last season's Bayern kit.
