I hope you're not making a gay joke.
Yeah, although I didn't actually say that, and it was only a joke.
What a tool.
Would you guys have been this bothered if I'd just quoted the post in the Gayest Posts Of The Week thread, that used to be a bit of a light hearted laugh? When did the Caf lose it's sense of humour? It seems to have been infested by a group of whiney little bitches who can't take a joke these days. I'm homophobic because of a light hearted post. feck me.
And no, that's not an offer.
I'm in the same boat.I was planning on buying this years kit but not anymore since Adidas will be on board next year.

Me too, think they'll make really classy kits for us.Can't wait for Adidas
Because Nike won't be our kit sponsor anymore. I want to wear what's current. What difference would that make to your decision to buy?

You do realise we release a different kit every year?Because Nike won't be our kit sponsor anymore. I want to wear what's current.
Jesus fecking Christ. Wise up you big girls blouse."It was a joke".
Not it wasn't. It wasn't being a bitch, I just find it ridiculous that someone uses Gay as an insult in 2014 and at the same time insinuated that if you talk about clothes you must be gay. But if it makes you feel better you can pretend it was a joke.
Yeah, I tend to like Adidas kits better than Nike ones.Does this come from loving Adidas over Nike?
Or just not realising every kit only has a 1 year life anyway?

No shite of course I realize that lol but I'm not the type who buys a kit every year anyway. I currently don't own a United jersey, when I invest in one I at least want it to be something similar to what the players are wearing that's all. Some of you are reading to much into this. You do realise we release a different kit every year?
I'm a homophobe. Unbelievable.I hate forums at times. There's always a gang of PC brigaders, ready to pounce on even the most harmless little gag.
But I have a gay friend. Its alright, you are getting a little bit annoyed that you let out you are homophobic in 2014.
I'm picky in the sense that the logo on the chest that is either a swoosh or the three white lines makes a difference to me. I want to wear the gear similar to what the players are wearing.Does this come from loving Adidas over Nike?

You're embarrassing yourself here.

Silliest thing is, I can't be a homophobe because I have gay friends.
I understand that, but I'm looking at long term! Nike is relevant and associated to Manchester United for this season only. Beyond that, it's Adidas. Is it a crime to want to wait until next season to buy a jersey since Adidas will be here long term and not Nike? Maybe this is just an American fashion thing. You start off talking like you know what's going on, but then you chat some confused stuff.
If you buy the kit out this month, the one just released yesterday, you will be wearing the same kit as the players!!
We're not going to release a kit in mid July 2014, and then wear something different in August 2014!!

Homophobic, sexist, throw in some casual racism and friendly biting and I'll maybe get a transfer to Barcelona. You know, someone from the PC brigade will probably pick you up on sexism next
Their official logo is fecking rank, then. They need a re-brand.
Anyway, all big companies have a range of different versions of the logo to use in different contexts. Someone already posted a less garish version, used on a race car they sponsor (see below). Would have looked far better than that chrome and gold eyesore. It's in the interest of the club and the sponsor to have a shirt that actually looks nice, surely?

Well that's what frustrates me about European sports because in the states, the jerseys stay the same. But as I've alluded to previously, I'm not the type who would buy a jersey every year with those corresponding kit changes. That brand logo makes a difference to me though because people will start to associate the club with Adidas long term starting next season not Nike.Fair enough. But each kit only lasts one year anyway, so there's no long term to it, unless you wear your new adidas kit for years, even though it won't be what the players are wearing overall design wise...

If you search on here for "gayest post" you'll find that exact phrase I used multiple times. There was even a thread. I doubt any of those posts or that thread drew anywhere near the ire my comment got.It does make me chuckle some of the things people get up in arms about on here.
I wonder how they'd cope in the middle of a pub full of beered up fans.
So basically, you're either actually gay and not OK with your sexuality. Or, you're a beta faggot who spends too much time and money sussing out the latest fashion trends in an effort to impress girls all the while being one of the biggest cnuts to walk the planet?!
You need to lighten the feck up.
That's not quite how I'd have put it, in fairness. So basically, you're either actually gay and not OK with your sexuality. All the professional sports leagues here have pretty much the same jersey from season to season. They might make changes every few years but not every season. From a soccer standpoint, we still get every jersey from United or any other European club when they make their changes. And United are definitely making a shitload of money here, I'm seeing more and more "soccer" jerseys being worn. United, Barcelona, Madrid, Chelsea and even City I see often. How long do shorts stay the same for over there? Would have thought the Americans would be even worse than United for milking money in.
