Manchester United Kits 2014/15

I actually quite like the Jersey, granted the Chevy logo is a tad too large imo. Can't be as bad as our tablecloth jersey though.

Maybe those of you who buy and wear United shirts should consider something from these guys this year?: http://www.camporetro.com/Shop-By-Team/Premier-League/Manchester-United

I purchased these 2 jerseys from there this week and used a 20% off code from their Twitter Feed. I also went via Quidco so willl get a further 10% cashback, so £40 in total for:

I'd also recommend 3in1football for retro remakes:

What? You've disagreed with his point by agreeing with it. You like those kits because we were successful in them, which is precisely his point. It doesn't matter what the kit looks like really, as long as it's not a Warrior/Liverpool car crash, all that matters is how the team do.

I'd rather that if happy memories were made, they were in an equally good looking kit. My point was that I wouldn't want to have fond memories of a shit kit.

Have you received them yet? Wondering how they compare to the likes of Score Draw (whose stuff they also distribute).

A lot of the people moaning about this new kit will post the likes of this up

Followed by loads of these:drool::drool::drool::drool::drool:

But really, other than not having the gold thing in the middle, and having stripes on the sleeve, how much difference is there really between them? They're very similar.
Nah,
that top one is one of my favourite ever kits. That
slight shimmer stripe was class and showed a bit of thought to the people buying it.
nowadays Its the plainer the better

Should get them tomorrow so I will post some pics up. I know a lot of our fans are anti kits, but with something like that, it passes off as a more standard top. Would love to see OT as a sea of red.

Can't believe the club haven't announced the new kit deal yet. You have to think if it was Nike they would be announcing it by now

Neither may be awfully keen to announce it now when it'd likely receive very little publicity

I was surprised to find I had a freebie from them when I arrived at work today - one of their Brazil 14 shirts. It's a nice airtex cotton material but I was glad that I had not bought one as mine was a M/L size and I would have ordered a size smaller, but this was a perfect fit. I'm really pleased with it. The crests are king of glued-on patches though, which is disappointing in terms of finish quality, but then the upside is that they do not irritate or itch. Very tempted to order one of their Maracana or Empire shirts now. http://www.camporetro.com/Shop-By-C...na/3373_Maracana-Jersey-Red-Old-White-SS.html

People's favorite kits almost always sync up with an era they hold dear, or a time they're fond of, and rarely have anything to do with taste or design. That one you mention for example was the first kit I ever owned, and thus I also like it. Objectively though, it's nothing remotely special and very dated. Our 99 & 2008 kits are also actually pretty shit. '99 especially. People like moaning, comparing, and claiming things aint what they used to be.

I liked our kit this season, both the home and away kit was nice. Thought the 2012/13 away kit was decent as well.

That's a load of rubbish, both of them kits were pretty nice, especially the 2008 one. Most United fans would disagree with them kits being shit.

Because they're famous and people have fond memories of winning in them. '99 is a terrible kit, with pointless piping, a weird, uncomfortable zip and a horrid excessive umbro design all down the arm. If it was released now people would go ape shit, and if we'd won nothing in it it'd be quickly forgotten. The 08 kit isn't terrible, but it's shiny, dull with a weird "well we've got to put something on it" line down the back. It's a poor replacement for the 06/07 kit, which was actually quite nice.

Not saying i particularly like the Chevy logo myself but why do people seem so appalled by it?

I have never been overjoyed by any sponsor we have had to wear but if most of the backlash is because its gold as it seems to be then im a bit puzzled to be honest, our badge is red & gold so it at least ties in with the colour scheme of the shirt.

Would be worse if it was say purple or green etc. then it would stick out like a sore thumb, in this picture above the logo doesn't look bad. The shirt itself looks almost exactly like the 2011/12 shirt though, Nike really have been phoning it in the last few years when it comes to our shirts after 12 years of Nike i think we could do with a change, my preference is adidas.

haven't looked at this thread for two or three weeks, looking at this picture, this is much much nicer then the preliminaries, or online presentations of the kit. The logo sizing is much better, and the colours mesh nicely. i hate that button but luckily it's near unnoticeable.

I can really do with that kit honestly. lucky for us they didn't whore the shit out of the chevy logo. With this i don't mind at all. the big difference is the sizing of the logo. before it was an obese blemish. now it's respectable and not dominating.

How bout the new kit deal? We staying with Nike, or did someone else come in and make a bigger bid than the reported £600m?

tempted to get a shirt for the first time in years.

Who to put on the back though? Van Persie? Rooney? Herrera, Shaw, Mata?

Or hold out for an even bigger signing?

What date is the new shirt coming out? bit strange seeing Herrera & Shaw holding up last season's shirt I must say

RONALDO

:smirk: You're only allowed to have a past player if you're one of those tightwads...sorry romantics, who still turn up In super old kits.

Girl in front of me had last year's away and had Fletcher put on , which seemed an odd choice these days

Think your missing the fact he signs for us July 17th in a dramatic day that crashes The Caf.

It'd be like the Café after a bad defeat, multiplied by a million

"captain, the café is f'cked permanently"

That Chevrolet logo badly needs to be all white or something, to not be a complete eyesore. Can't see Chevrolet being keen on that idea though, as they probably think the more it stands out the better.

We'll stop noticing it after about a week. Just like we did the tablecloth. The reaction to that was similar 'Gok Wan seeing someone with heels and dungarees' like this too. It's a football kit, it's not going to show you up in a wedding photo.

Same kit as 2 seasons ago, they only changed teh sponsor and added an extra button. fecking Nike.

It's a grower, I'm beginning to like it, once you see it as a full kit it will look a lot better.

It'll look okay when it's actually being worn.

I actually like the home kit, away kit looks like the designer came up with it while doing a big poo.

This.

so weird that they haven't properly unveiled these yet. it's extra weird given that the official photos of their shaw and herrera unveilings have them with last year's kit. what could possibly be the reason for this delay?

The white looks so plain and crumby, the red doesn't exactly look a unique masterpiece either, 2/10. for me.

Away shirt looks a bit shoddy. I really like the home shirt. Logo isn't great but not nearly as bad as I expected. Overall, I'm happy enough. I think the home shirt in particular will look really good actually on the players.

Good job they change every year. Fecking horrible. Not much you can do with that logo though it's downright rank.
