Manchester United Kits 2014/15

They aren't the worst kits ever made (although the away kit is certainly in the running) but they're just so bloody uninspiring looking. It baffles me how someone on probably a six figure salary is designing this shit.

That logo actually looks smaller and less visually offensive

Possibly because the shirt is slightly folded in the middle of the logo.

The Nike logo is still off centre on the home kit

Because it's a knock-off version. We've seen three or four different versions of the same basic design and no doubt the actual kit as released will be different again. Every one has a slightly different collar and different sized sponsors logo. Some have venting, others don't. It's a bootlegger's best guess at the moment.

The logo is smaller so it looks much better than the last one we've seen, still a hideous logo nonetheless, i can live with it on the white kit though.

The kit itself is very good, we need time to get used to Chevrolet, though.

That white kit is fecking awful. If we have a white kit it should be pure white like R Madrids.

It's a red football kit. It's not as if there's a massive bellend drawn on it. How fussy can people be? We've always, by and large had a plain red shirt with the odd exception. It's like people expect a multi-coloured Jean-Paul Gaultier concoction. Part of be thinks it's all associated with this 'everything associated with United is automatically shit' attitude.

Maybe if someone photoshopped an Adidas logo onto it, people would leave their wives for it.

I think the white looks alot like the old kit when Sharp was our sponsor, which many fans seems to rave about.. Not too fuzzed about the kit this year, hopefully our 3rd kit will be black, or similar to the blue one this season

I don't like the blue, never have. It just feels...wrong. I'd prefer red, black and white; our principle colours.

Exactly.

Our new third kit will be our old away kit, as usual.

Doesn't look bad, but that's probably because we all expected worse.

Looks cheaply and not very long thought out though. I don't like how they tried to trim the sleeves and neck, that white/black doesn't look good, just tacky, should've gone for one color or the other, not both imo.

They look fine to me. We'll get used to the Chevrolet logo over time, just like we got used to Vodafone, AIG etc.

I hope we have a black third kit. They always look lovely.

Home shirt good, away disappointing but I don't really care about the away shirt. Logo not as bad as I expected - worth it for the absurd amount of money we're getting.

I have to say I'm a bit underwhelmed. The gold color really needs to be changed, it clashes with the other colors on the shirt. Chevrolet doesn't have too great of a logo to begin with and it doesn't do anything to make things better here.

The logo on the inside of the shirt on the away kit looks like a really bad sweat stain. The logo in general looks like shit. The actual kits ignoring the Chevy sign is ok. Would've looked much better if they just spelled out Chevrolet or didn't have it gold, but whatever.

We've had blue kits a lot longer than we've had black kits, in fairness.

Our first block blue kit was in 1908 (we had blue and white stripes in 1902), and we've had at least one blue away kit (or blue and white stripes) in every decade since. Our first black kit wasn't til 1993

The name (logotype) is part of the logo. It's just up to the brand itself to decide whether they use the symbol on its own. Very few companies do and it is only the absolutely massive brands e.g. Nike, Apple who can get away with it because they are so well known. Most of us know the Chevrolet logo with the type because we have been exposed to it through advertising etc. but I bet in developing countries it is hardly known at all so I can see why Chevrolet want the type with the symbol also.

When are these cnuts going to officially release the shirt?

Its my birthday a week today, if it's out soon I should be able to get it for that

Does anyone else know why United string out their kit release like cnuts?

No other club in the WORLD does it.

Because the kit sponsorship deal with Aon runs until July 1st. They can't release (even official images of) a kit with a new sponsor until the deal has lapsed.

You should be damn glad of the £60m odd a year they're giving Utd. Leave it on it ffs and show some respect. It's only a logo.
You know I never liked logos on football jerseys. It just makes players into a walking billboard. Yes they give the club money but I don't want a sport turning into a business. (Which sadly it is.)

But I especially don't like Chevrolet when the could have just had the words, or even a black and white cross. Instead they had to get gold. Not a fan.

The logo is shocking but I'm just hoping the more we see of it the more we will get used to it and just accept the ugly gold bastard. Ultimately it all depends how we do while Chevrolet are our sponsors, I didn't like having AIG in huge letters on our shirts but when we won the league and champions league with Ronaldo scoring sexy goals I didn't give a crap. It's just such a shame the Chevrolet logo isn't in white or black to go with the shirt but at theend of the day they paid all that money for a reason.

Not saying i particularly like the Chevy logo myself but why do people seem so appalled by it?

I have never been overjoyed by any sponsor we have had to wear but if most of the backlash is because its gold as it seems to be then im a bit puzzled to be honest, our badge is red & gold so it at least ties in with the colour scheme of the shirt.

Would be worse if it was say purple or green etc. then it would stick out like a sore thumb, in this picture above the logo doesn't look bad. The shirt itself looks almost exactly like the 2011/12 shirt though, Nike really have been phoning it in the last few years when it comes to our shirts after 12 years of Nike i think we could do with a change, my preference is adidas.

It looks like the kit where Ando and Cleveley started brilliantly for us and Rooney scored a heap of goals. Think it was 11/12. Nike don't even try.

Actually that kit doesn't looks half bad. The leaked photos looked horrible but that one doesn't look that bad.

Problem with Adidas is that al their kits are the same for all teams bar the crest, colour and sponsor. I want a bit of diversity in my kits.
