Why can't they just put a smallass logo like this :

Looks much neater.

657 million reasons why Chevrolet gets a giant logo.

I looked at the shirt and thought, 'its red and has a badge and sponsors, standard shit'

I didn't proceed to have a breakdown because it isn't plated in gold with bells on.

Crank!

I, for one, couldn't care less that you don't care what our kit looks like.

They had a choice to go with the white logo, they had a choice to go with the small gold logo, but in the end they decided, feck it, let's go with big ugly golden one, let's make it as hideous as possible, incompetence at its finest hour.

United just spent a boatload of money on transfers (and apparently there are more to come) on a summer window before a season with NO Champions League money. You don't think the ridiculous $80m a year from Chevy is a big reason for that? That's more than enough to give them the right to make their logo whatever colour they damn please.

Who is they? I imagine it's Chevrolet who call the shots on the logo rather than Nike or United.

I honestly don't know who made that decision, but even if it's chevrolet, surely they'd want it to look nice on the kit, and they had plenty of options and went with the worst one.

I doubt they really care how it looks in terms of coplimenting the other aesthetics. In fact, they are probably delighted that it sticks out like a sore thumb as it means they get noticed more! I have to deal with this kind of crap every day at work. They probably used this stuff too http://www.makemylogobiggercream.com

More than two hundred people have posted in this thread. Ten of them have posted more than you. On top of that, it seems your go-to tactic is the juvenile "why are you getting so worked up?", while simultaneously clearly getting worked up yourself.

Are you twelve, or are you just pretending?

The home kit is OK but nothing special. The away looks really cheap and a huge gold logo on a white shirt doesn't really work.

How would you know if I'm worked up?

Next year we should have a separate kit thread for people who don't care about kits to avoid all this.

Definitely. Because people who claim not to care about kit definitely need somewhere to write about it.

I propose we bring in short shorts with the new kit, as part of the agreement to convince Sanchez to come to United.

Sooner or later we're all going to have to accept the Chevy bow tie (that's what it's referred to among Chevy aficionados) on our shirt. However, with one minor modification it could be pretty bad ass...

The proposed home and away kit look like separate designs though. The sleeves and collar are completely different, they normally have a similar style to them than one with a collar and one without. Makes me wonder if they are genuinely leaked or if this is the latest person trying to pass off a fake set of shirts as real...

Last year were different designs, a lot of seasons have different designs between the home and away kits.

Some of these old kits people fiddle with themselves over are ugly as sin. Maybe when the new kit is released they should just pretend it was designed in 1986 and everyone would love it?

The logo is fine it's just the colour scheme. If it was black it would look much better.

 You're right. Some of the older shirts are gorgeous, but some are awful. Yet because they're old, people love them.

To be fair neither of these shirts will look that bad once you see the full kit, Im hoping we go for black shorts this season, I know traditionally we have white but the black would offset the Chevrolet logo better.

We only ever wear black shorts away to a team who also wears white shorts, theres no chance we will start wearing black shorts full time.

The thing is, there are different variations of the logo that look fine. For example, this would be awesome in white for the home.

and this would have looked much better on the away kit. (minus the black background)

Except those are their old logos. We don't just throw the old badge on our kits for the hell of it sometimes.

Another pic. Found this on Reddit, the guy that posted it works in a football shop. The logo looks smaller in this pic...which is...better?
