Manchester City under Pep Guardiola | Pep on City v Liverpool ref: "He likes to be special"

Yep. It was kind of like all the things Pogba's been criticised for this season stuffed into a single 90 minutes.

He's a fantastic player but the real world class players grow under pressure. He's had some kind of meltdown over the two legs. It's created a question mark over him for me. Anyone can strut around when you''re winning 4-0 every week.

Silva as the only one of their forward players I thought had their head screwed on at all, and he got taken off for some reason.

100% agree once again. Dare I say it but I remember saying Cristian Eriksen is a better player than KDB.. now this was during the Wolfsburg days, and since then I admit KDB has turned out the better player from an EPL perspective and is more talented, but for me in the UCL this year I saw Eriksen dominate Juventus, and we also saw Eriksen put in some world class displays for his country whereas De Bruyne has for me shat it in the UCL and for me sometimes lacks the physicality to really trouble the top midfields in europe at this stage. Both remain works in progress for me, top class domestic playmakers who now need to take that next step and be influential in europe and on the international scene.

They need to improve their physical game, be braver and clinical in terms of decisions under pressure. Mental side of the game is where those two and someone like Coutinho, need to nail if they want to be seen in the same light as top playmakers like an Iniesta. Pogba also is in this company and if he ever gets his head read, physically he's more gifted than these guys and actually has the experience of playing in latter end of CL.

They put both their main strikers, one of the starting center backs, started Gundogan instead of KDB on midfield and played B. Silva upfront. You seriously cant deny this points to them having bigger fish to fry. It was pretty much a dead rubber to them. The likes of KDB and Aguero were turned to just to salvage derby pride and their unbeaten home record. But their real focus was last night. And Spurs will feel the full fury of the pain of last night's exit. I'm close to certain about that

So, you are saying that a Derby, vs MUFC, which could see them win the title (against the team which has won the most EPL titles), which gave them one of their biggest league stadium attendances, one of the highest TV viewing audiences of their season, which after losing, had some of their fans in tears....was a dead rubber?

This has to be a WUM comment.

I like to see you suffer. Came here for the Moyes era. The moment you become real successful again, I'll try to deny it for a while and then will disappear. But enough about me.

I know your league is boring to watch and useless to see but holy shite didn't know it reached the stage of forcing their fans to sign for a United forum to take a troll.

Another Bayern fan once said he enjoyed this forum more when we struggled because we were more realistic.
Its a strange mentality to have

It really must only be that the Bundesliga is so crushingly boring they're desperate to find something else to occupy them. And because 99 left such huge pyschological scars for them Utd will always be their target.

@Snowjoe. Great tagline for him

On Saturday night as well isn't it? The game against Spurs. Should be a great atmosphere for that one. Hopefully they can inflict another defeat on them.

quite a bit of exaggeration on how bad we've been the last 3 games on this thread, maybe i'm seeing it though blue blinkers but we've not been as bad as some have made out and we've had 2 bad decisions on goals for go against us and should have had 2 pens which may have altered outcomes in both the derby and over the legs against 'pool. Certainly don't think it's anything to panic with and although disappointed I see no reason why we won't be better next season with Mendy back and more or less the same squad of players.

Probably a reaction to the hyperbole that has surrounded City all season.

City have had an outstanding Premier League campaign and you can strongly argue it's the best ever PL campaign. They're not the greatest English side ever though, which many in the media were crowning them as.

Utd got a few decisions on Saturday but City have had a few in recent derbies so it's fair enough I'd say. Liverpool too but if you go out 5-1 on aggregate it seems churlish to blame the ref.

But we don't sign up to post there only to complain how they act when Liverpool wins!
Ill see if I can find it

Edit, I cant. Which is annoying since Ive brought up in the past and even quoted it a few times.

Totally agree with this, but if (both big) we win the league with over 100 points this season and wen't close again next I'd say they would certainly enter the discussion of best domestic side in the PL era. If they fail to win the league next season then, for me, they should be nowhere near the discussion.

So Cristiano Lell is a combination of names? I thought it's intended to be "Cristiano Lol" - a fitting name for a wum, which He is. Why would He bother typing 2.2k messages only to say "hmm yeah im here to wum, i hate united" and get banned though? That's extremely weird, as Van Gaal said it's only allowed to do that in sex masochism.

Please do explain, in detail, how you arrived at this conclusion.

Bad enough we have Barca fans supporting City, now we have Bayern fans riding Pep's saintly cock as well. Just hope Pep doesn't turn PSG and Juve fans against us in the future as well.

50/50 in the fanbase really, although I have observed that the further you get away from Munich, the more Pep-loving they are.

I'm thankful he helped raising our profile and try not to think too much about wasted opportunities.

How though? You've been great in europe before and after Pep. I just dont get it.

No fan of the Bayern fans in this forum but if Cristiano Lell got banned for that cheek in tongue comment that's a bit ridiculous. I've reported various sexist, homophobic or hateful comments over time and a lot of users seemed to get away with it, his two posts were minor in comparison.

As always it runs far deeper than just one or two posts.

I'd love to see Bayern win it just to prove they needed to turn to Heynckess again after Pep failed to do it.
