Manchester Arena Bombing 22.05.17

Extremely insensitive? Don't you think that's a little dramatic?

I refuse to criticize anyone who puts in their own time and effort to support the victims and their families. Certainly not someone who was there. In my opinion returning so soon is a brave move on her part and sends out a positive message. It's showing to the world that people can stay strong, not hiding away and waiting until everything cools down but bouncing straight back. Showing that terrorism hasn't won and will never win. I think it's a great statement.

Couldn't agree more.

Well said and 100 % agree , needs to be done now.
Show the bastards that did it , Manchester wont be beaten by them.
Massive respect to all who are performing.

I didn't know anything about Ariana Grande before the explosion, but I respect her a lot for going back so soon. I actually replied to her twitter message telling her not to give up as many people love her.

I know this thread isn't supposed to be political but this is the biggest reason why our war against terror is a waste of time.

One Love Manchester: Stars to sing 'with greater purpose' after London attack

Ariana Grande's Manchester tribute concert will go ahead "loudly" and "with greater purpose" after Saturday's terror attack in London.

In a statement released on Sunday, Grande and Justin Bieber's manager Scooter Braun said the tribute concert will be to "honour those lost" in both the Manchester and London's atrocities.

"After the events last night in London, and those in Manchester just two weeks ago, we feel a sense of responsibility to honour those lost, injured, and affected," he said.

"We plan to honour them with courage, bravery, and defiance in the face of fear," Braun added.

"Today's One Love Manchester benefit concert will not only continue, but will do so with greater purpose."

The One Love Manchester concert will be broadcast live on BBC One on Sunday from 6.55pm to 10pm and will be available to watch on demand via BBC iPlayer.

It will also be on BBC Radio 1, BBC Radio 2, BBC Radio 5 Live and BBC Radio Manchester and streamed live online by MTV, Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, Apple, Viacom, iHeart Media, ANC and TMC France.
One Love still on...there are the TV/radio channels carrying it "live".

Piers Morgan making a joke of himself again. Who could have possibly imagined?

Just ignore the twat and don't give him the publicity he craves.

Yeah I must admit i'd never heard of Ariana Grande until two weeks ago, but she's been terrific with what she's done to help heal the wounds.
Piers Morgan is a tit.

Isn't he just some deranged Arsenal fan?
Yeah and the disgraced former editor of the Mirror. He went from that to somehow carving out a TV career as a rent-a-gob.

Big props to Grande. Only ever saw her on SNL where she did a good job impersonating other singers.
Glad that some of the injured are getting the attention from her. Something bright out of this mess.

Really enjoying this. Occasionally the emotion getting the better...

Robbie Williams nailed that: perhaps the performance of his entire career.

Met the needs and mood of the audience with a quite stunning session of sing-a-long therapy.

Credit to him

The response of "feck you, we're having a good time in spite of your shite" is just amazing.

I am slightly concerned that things like this may be a sign that we're a bit too fond of our 'resilience' to terrorism. That we're almost identifying ourselves by it and as such given it undue relevance. I'm more of the 'ignoring it as much as possible' mindset. I can, of course, understand why people want things like this though.

I'm very torn.

Not sure Lucky was the most appropriate song mind you...

Thought the lyrics were eerily apt actually -

Like the legend of the phoenix
All ends with beginnings
What keeps the planet spinning
The force of love beginning
We've come too far to give up who we are
So let's raise the bar and our cups to the stars

This is the best response to the cowards who try and divide us by their deprived actions.

Makes you proud to be from such a great city.

Aye i dont really take any offence or hate anyone partaking...but it is what i regard as 'grief porn'. Hipster charity.

Still if it genuinely benefits some then fair play

Things like this help accelerate the healing process. In an ideal world, we'd be ignoring it like you said, but that's hard because we aren't robots and the media won't let us.

Never heard of this Mickey Cyprus fellow, but he sings quite well.
