Manchester Arena Bombing 22.05.17

It's young people having fun to commemorate an event where young people were attacked and killed for wanting to have fun.

Not sure much more than that can or should be read into it.

Who knew Paul Hogan could sing?

...ish.

Aye i dont really take any offence or hate anyone partaking...but it is what i regard as 'grief porn'. Hipster charity.

Still if it genuinely benefits some then fair play
You call it hipster charity, but it's still charity. As in, the money goes to those affected. No matter how cynical your view of it, that alone makes it worth it.

I am slightly concerned that things like this may be a sign that we're a bit too fond of our 'resilience' to terrorism. That we're almost identifying ourselves by it and as such given it undue relevance. I'm more of the 'ignoring it as much as possible' mindset. I can, of course, understand why people want things like this though.

I'm very torn.

Don't understand your view to be honest. This is just what the city needs.

It will benefit alot more than some.

Just look at the bigger picture.

Looks like it's going to absolutely piss down. Not a chance will they let that spoil the night, mind.

Oh, it'll be fun.

Let's be honest, if this is about Manchester's resilience, it would be entirely inappropriate if it didn't involve people being very soggy but happy.

BREAKING - Media Say Liam Gallagher WILL Play The One Love Concert and will be signing with Chris Martin.
F*cking hell, that's ruined it.

More seriously: well done to the courageous people attending, working and performing - very brave folks indeed. :)

Aye it definitely is, the artists deserve praise for it. I'm watching emotionally as im sure everyone else is.

I am not a fan of hers , but feck me how brave to be back on a stage performing after what happened.
Massive respect for her.
Exactly, she could have just spouted condolences from thousands of miles away, but she has done something to try and make things better.

Yeah, I think she's been quite remarkable in how she's handled things.

Initially shared her utterly understandable despair and lack of knowing what to do, then took her time to make any decisions, before deciding the O2 wasn't the way to go but this was.

I like how there's a lot of the crowd singing her songs, as in it's obvious a lot of her fans managed to get tickets.
