If we continue with this we won't qualify top 4, not even close, make the decision, he has had enough time and money, out of the cl and consecutive defeats against relegation fodder, there is no belief or confidence, we have a chance to turn it around, the best manager in the game is unemployed, mourinho, there is also ancelotti unemployed, just do it, people looking for longevity is great, it is ideal but it is not going to happen, just get the best manager available, because we are in danger of becoming irrelevant very soon, we need to be put back on track now.

Surely Ed is engaged in a series of phone calls and meetings at the moment and some sort of decision will come down within days. They have to either publicly back him (which would be suicidal) or do what is necessary to usher him out with either a long term short or long term solution in place. Whether that is Mourinho, Ancelotti, or whoever.

He's gone. If we sack him on Monday and get Mourinho in, we will save our season. I actually think Mourinho will be very fired up after Chelsea disaster this season and will be very motivated to win, he could get us back to the top.

Wanted him to stay until May but I'm having doubt about finishing in the top four with him, pointless sacking him when it's mathematically impossible.

The LVG era has been well and truly a disaster when you think about it. Regardless of top four last season, I can barely count on one hand the amount of games we actually looked convincing and his man management and subs have been shocking throughout his tenure.
Hard to disagree with that.

Your right, they have to act on either backing or sacking. I hope it will be sacking. If they go for backing, the management is dangerous for our club.

Why are you so confident he'd have us challenging for the title after finishing 4th last season, when he guided the champions to one point from relegation? He's an enormous risk at best.

Because all of the top teams have been poor this year. A decent manager at United and we'd have already been far ahead of all of them. We have a very good squad that's been mismanaged.

So do I, and part of me is actually curious to see how this squad perform when they are motivated by a manager capable of doing so. Something tells me we will do very well.

He should be finished the media work by now, should have just received a text to head to Woodys office. Woody is waiting there with a cheque and P45. Clear your desk LVG.

he sort of lost both ends of a home and away scenario to save his job. 2-1 away and 1-2 home.

New year, new transfer window, new manager, new start.

Don't think he will be sacked immediately. Suspect he will be given 2 more games Stoke and Chelski. Thinking is if we lose both we will still be in the hunt for 4th and time needs to be had for looking at replacements (many on the board would be against hiring Jose).

Yep.

Obviously we would all love Pep but even then he's not available til the end of the season, and feck knows where we could be by then. We're well and truly in a shitstorm right now and a Mourinho with a point to prove could get us out of it.

Can't see the point in sacking him right now as there is no one to get in, and it looks like we've fecked up the Pep situation and Ancelotti is off to Bayern, the incompetency at the club is astonishing for a business of this size.
Have I missed something today?

So you ignore his previous work for 10 plus years just for a bad six months.

Did you want Klopp?

Ancelotti? He was bad at Juve.

Reading these tweets from his post match presser, looks like an inevitable sack and he knows it.

Maureen is toxic though, he ruined the dressing room and Madrid and recently at Chel$ki.

May as wellwait until the house is burnt to the ground before looking for an escape route. He's on his own now completely, and rightly so. There are no signs of progress or bullshit philosophy at all. The man is a fraud.

He told one he had a 1% chance of playing for him and didn't handle the second one right. Now he complains about the lack of pace and goals. Irony to say the least.

Get Mourinho in now, its clearly meant to be!

You know, if I was a believe in fate/destiny, maybe Mourinho @ MUFC is meant to be.
I mean, he wins Chelsea the title last year...easily.
Then this year, inexplicably struggles, for the first time in his career and gets fired.
And then we lose 3 games in a row.
And Mourinho's people announced today that he does not want to take a sabbatical and is available immediately, for work.

Maybe, it's just meant to be.

I'm sick of hearing about his Ph-LOSS-ophy.

Possession football which does sod all - has he brainwashed the players into thinking they mustn't lose the ball? I don't believe good players can turn bad overnight, en masse. The team is a shambles, invariable too scared to go forward although today was an improvement on that.

And it's been pointed out that they don't look fit - so is it also something to do with training methods? Or are they not getting enough sleep, worrying about the Phlossophy.
