Feel sorry for him, about to cry there. I would say give him another year.

It is what it is. He doesn't give good answers on the spot but I think inside he knows he has failed this club.

Sad to hear posters call LVG names like "cnut" because he's a 60+ year old man who tried to bring success back to the club. Yes, he failed and miserably so. But lets try and be classy supporters eh
This is not a lack of "on the spot" communication skills … this is two years worth of autocracy in action! You can't manage a club the size of ours without being comfortable delegating and he's much too old-school inflexible for that.

Just makes me angry

This pisses me off to no end. Surely expectations to at least finish in the top 4 aren't too high? You're a fecking clueless failure, get gone

Why are people surprised at what he's just said? He's a fecking shitbag of a guy. The fans at OT should have collectively booed him out of the stadium. As much as we say Madrid fans are classless, at least they don't stand for lowered expectations, why should he be the nice guys??

Expectations are too high and we are in transition, yet Leicester, a team that finished 4th off bottom last season, won the fecking league! Get out of here you saggy faced kettle.

Yeah, why are people even getting angry at the constant patronising shit from him telling us how our expectations are too high despite spending 250 mln pounds within two years and actually managing to regress during that period.

Angry is fine. Name calling to this level is probably overkill. He's on his way out anyway, I just feel its poor form to diss like this, yo.

God Lord what a cnut. Enjoy Portugal you miserable feck
Aye, at last seasons awards ceremony, everyone CLEARLY remembers his piss drunk speech about how close to Chelsea we are. And that next season "WE GO FOR IT".

Fast forward 12 months, and the cnut tells us that 4th place and our expectations are too high. We're in transition.

FML.

We are way past being classy supporters  If he could stop being so damn high on himself, I would calm down. Its just the same excuses time after time. He need to take some of the blame himself. That would be the responsible thing to do and he would get the respect from the fans.

Maybe just maybe he should act classy himself.

"We are a team in transition, that I have said when I start here"

What happened to three months?

Finishing higher than fifth is too high of an expectation for the club with the second highest wage expenditure and the highest transfer expenditure? Feck off.

I wonder what 'expectations' were written into his contract. Surely to Christ winning the FA Cup can't have been an 'expectation' that will save his job?

I can't imagine Mourinho saying expectations are too high if he comes. He'll be going for the title straight away.

I'm just reassured that he's got the gig of guitarist with Iggy Pop

You mean he looks like Josh Homme?

If expectations were too high maybe he never should've taken the job. It's not like he knew about it beforehand...

I felt a bit sorry for him stood in the rain.

He doesn't help himself come interview time but to me it's always more of a misunderstanding. When he says "too high" I think he believes the fans are booing because we didn't win the league. He doesn't get we gave up on that ages ago and it's actually missing 4th spot that's the problem.

This sort of things happened a few times throughout the season.

For me he ended up being much worse than moyes, at least moyes had an excuse of never managing a top club, van gaal came with big reputation and was allowed to tear the squad down and spend a fortune, and here we're 2 years later pretty much with zero progress.

The expectations weren't too high, the failure is just to spectacular for his ego to take.

He may not have achieved our objectives, but its not through lack of trying or application. Many of us were delighted when he was appointed and excited about many of the signings he made.. He is a thoroughly decent person with strong values and ethics.

I think he deserves all the constructive criticism and it should cost him his job, but there is no reason to part on bad terms or with malice. It simply didn't work but thats no reason to hate him.

I'm glad he got booed. If he has to suffer some humiliation in order to help get rid of him, then so be it.

Pretty sure if there'd been a big sign go up on the screens saying "Boo really loud and we'll sack LvG now" there'd have been a lot more booing.

Ideally it wouldn't happen but what else can fans do?

Too many excuses and to have the cheek to say that the fans have too high expectations, you spent 250 million on shite and you did nothing...:mad::mad:

It's time to go just win the FA Cup and feck off
