What annoys you lot more..

The lack of progression under LvG, or the boring style of play?
The lack of progression coupled with the deluded LVG trying to tell us otherwise (despite every measurable statistic saying he's talking nonsense).

The boring style of play is just part of the lack of progression really.

It's just a crazy situation we are in right now, it seems we are been lead to believe that if LvG achieves his bare minimum, completely pathetic target of squeezing us into the top 4, then he will be safe, this after boring us all silly.

Well what a dilemma that leaves me in for the remainder of the season, I want CL, yet I want LVG gone, if it comes to a straight choice then I'll settle for the Europa thank you very much, and the club should hang its head in shame for allowing the fans to even contemplate such a scenario.

Let me put it this way; I'd be more inclined to forget the fact that we don't finish top 4 if I could see some kind of fluidity coming together in the football after 2 seasons. What we have instead is a team who are going to struggle to hit 50 goals this season. We're Manchester United ffs..we always score!

Interesting to think this time next week this thread could be blowing up

That is, if we lose the 2 games in that time, meaning no FA Cup or effectively top 4

He could yet win both of course

It's a shame that we go into both games with a loss being the most likely best result for the club overall long term.

You are just wasting your time arguing with him.

Whatever is the most extreme opposite position, you'll find him right there.

Winning the FA cup and getting top four is a good season

Redcafe: that is an extreme opposite opinion.

These forums are in deep trouble.

"Our home fans and away fans are some of the best in the country"

Vs

"I think our fans should stop singing and start booing more, maybe throw a few punches at LVG"

Ugh twigginater shut up with your outlandish WUMs.

You guys know that if we all stopped replying to him and the other lunatic that's very LVG-friendly they'd just disappear as nobody would pick a discussion, right?

How is that spot on? Under Moyes we were a complete joke, I never saw us go to Liverpool and city and win there, we were ripped apart by our rivals, and at this time under Moyes we lost out on a top 4. VG should be gone, the football is just not there, but we are competitive, but let's not cloud the judgement that the football under Moyes was better. Under Moyes not only was the football bad, but we were getting humiliated, under VG he may very much get a top 4 once again

Van Gaal is not a bad manager, he does know the ropes, but his style of play can be boring(as we have seen) and he is not long term. But he is certainly a better manager than Moyes.

I'd suggest you go to all of the games and boo as loud as you can then... nothing stopping you!? Or just you know, moan on an Internet forum... whatever suits you best.
Like f*ck I'm going to any more of these "games" this season. I'll be at Sunderland Leicester tyvm.

How the flip is that wumming?

I said after Southampton it might be time for him to go.
As of now he can stay by me. I think we've been ok recently. It's been a hard league this year.

L-L-D-D-W-W. We've been barely "ok". Do you honestly believe Jose will run us into relegation? LVG might still make top 4 and maybe win the FA Cup but his approach has been appalling. I should say that there was no approach at all. He was scattergun for most of his time here.

It's not even "ok" it's fecking dreadful  The standards are really slipping!

Fair enough mate, I have to agree with you then. I wish more fans were good enough to stop going to see their team when they're not playing well and instead go to watch the league leaders instead. Truly a bastion of great support.

We've won four out of the last five league games and did well to come back late on in the FA cup. I don't trust Jose to do a good job here whatsoever.

I'd also like to point out that while the 250 million figure gets banded about a lot, LVG has recouped 110 million and actually lowered the wage bill at the club. Meanwhile Mourinho increased the clubs wages by 25 million a year last year and then took his team to 16th after making them have the highest wage bill in the league.

Since when has net spend become something for United to boast about?

LVG's preference to work with a smaller club has shot us in the foot. We could still be in the champions league & in the title race had we acted rationally on squad selection.

Mourinho drove the team to 16th in an uncharacteristic season. If we're going to compare league finishes between the managers over their career I don't think its smart to put anyone (bar SAF) against Mourinho to make a point.

No, winning the FA cup and essentially stumbling into the 4 four is not a good season by United's standards.

Oh wait, you are viewing things in the context of the LVG bizarro world, where we are blatantly told not to live in the past and don't expect too much. Yes, you are so right, we need to give LVG an extension then. All the 90 odd percent of people here who want him gone are just completely deluded people and you are simply one of the select few who can see past the horrid performances and can definitively state we've turned a corner.

I do know that! I've been screaming it from the rooftops that standards have been sliding.

Winning 4/5 of league games is something that should be expected for any club looking to challenge for the title. It shouldn't be a crown of achievement for a manager to stay. The fact that there are people happy with us scrapping top 4 and being optimistic about a possible FA Cup (we haven't won it yet)shows how far standards have fallen under LVG. Jose had one bad season, but we need him to drag us or beat us back into shape. He has Fergie's winning mentality.

Yeah, I completely agree.
