We'd have won today with a dog in charge. City just out-awfuled us. (Edit: ok slightly harsh. We played well, but City were terrible)

Great result but at the season's end, I'm sure he still won't touch the top 4. I still think his future will rest on the FA Cup

It's such a difficult situation to be in
I want top 4, but I don't really want him in charge next season.

In his defence though, without the injuries, where would we be?

I want him gone, but he has been doing decently over the last month.

What are you talking about with Danny Rose?

You're saying Benteke and Berahino are better players than Rooney right and have more to offer?

The Rose comparison is simple. When I said Sturridge is better than Rooney you said he isn't because of his injury record. According to you we have to take that into account when assessing ability. So a direct comparison is Rose and Shaw. By your reasoning you must prefer Rose due to his vastly superior fitness record.

Who do you think is better than Rooney in the Premiership?

When he's gone, we'll miss his big game results.

Just not the small and medium game performances!

Happy we won today but just think of all the pain he has put us through the last 18 months. He absolutely cannot stay.

I changed my vote after the past few weeks to sack him now, but his big-game record is just extraordinary.

This season there's been 2 defeats, 5 wins, 5 draws.(Leicester, Spurs, City, Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal).
Last season 2 defeats, 5 wins, 3 draws (Spurs, City, Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal).
How about his record against teams we should have absolutely battered?

Fighting a lawsuit against PEDs.
Every single team 'deals with injuries' - winds me up to hear a small bunch always moan about it.

As I said,
"I changed my vote after the past few weeks to sack him now"

Nothing wrong with praising the part he has got right.
Apart from the 3-0 at Arsenal and 2-0 at Anfield, we've never looked outclassed either.

Of course every team has injuries to deal with, but we have had some long term ones this season.
Obviously LVG is to blame for trimming the squad to an extent that he has, but the length of some of our injuries has put us as probably the worst affected side this season

Aye, I can remember us having a really difficult number of injuries in 2006/07 (I think it was) at one point, but we still won the title. Chelsea, during that same season, had plenty of injuries of their own, and still competed. The injuries have hampered us, but we're not the only side to have suffered them.

If he gets us top 4 all is forgiven (not forgotten)

But I still want him gone, Aguero on another day wouldve bagged a hat trick

I think it makes it very difficult to sack him if he gets top 4

if he gets top plus the FA cup i dont think he should be

, he's gone past the point of no return, he can't do anything to salvage it, he must go in the summer (at the latest).

I dont agree

I think itll make it very hard for the club to sack him if he achieves what I mentioned

Im not saying I will jump for joy if he does stay.(although Iwill be over the moon with a cup and 4th) Im thinking about from the way I think the club will view it

We'll lose our next league game dismally as has happened Every. Single. Time. we've gotten a win since... mid November? and he'll still be on his way out the door.

How many injuries have Leicester dealt with this season?
How many injuries have Tottenham dealt with this season?

I don't remember them having 18 or so at the same time, or having not only the majority of the main defenders out, but even the teenage backsup got injured, at worst leading to the likes of Love playing!

Imagine getting top 4 and then bringing in a competent manager? Heaven.

and Pep being forced to play Europa league, or City winning CL with us beating them to 4th, only to be dropped back to EL because they win CL.

I still don't think we'll finish 4th though.

Beyond the point of no return. It's like having a partner who leaves smelly shits in the toilet, doesn't tidy-up after themselves, runs up a huge phone bill and uses all your milk. You don't have second thoughts about chucking them just because they buy you a coke and mars bar back from the shops.

rules have changed so we would still qualify

Still doesn't change a thing for me especially as I know for certain that we will throw it away in the next few weeks like we did after beating the Arse.

Very apt.

It would be utter madness to sack him now, today's result has put us back in the top 4 race and it's clear for whatever reason that Mourinho can't come before end of season.

I'm just praying for a top 4 finish and then Jose comes and claims his dream job. Best possible scenario for all

Well no shit Sherlock. No one talks about sacking a manager immediately after he wins a game. Its only after a loss that everyone calls for his head.

Shocked he didn't stop to take a note when Rashford scored - oh and he actually decided to stand up for the players when Blind took an Aguero boot. For the most part he's done well in these big games but, we've so needed him to get the team playing better in the regular games, ones we normally are backed to win but, end up drawing or losing.

The ironic thing is, we're a point of fourth yet we've been dire most of the season - makes you wonder where we'd be if we'd just made one or two big signings. Or if we'd beaten Bournemouth and Norwich at home - every team can take that route, but we really should have done.

I know if is a big word.

If my auntie had balls she'd be my uncle.
If LVG wasn't a stubborn old git then we might actually be in contention for the title. But we're not because LVG is my auntie.

Norwich, Bournemouth, and the late Diego Costa goal - the 8 point swing that never was.
