Cheers, sounds like standard LVG fare. Go into the season with a ridiculously thin squad, in a team known to suffer a lot of injuries, then complain about injuries and fixture congestion. OK.

LVG: 'I'm not angry, I'm not frustrated. I was very proud of my players ... they gave everything'

I'm done.

Well we were heading into the quarter finals of CL at least at this stage two years ago.
Crazy to think that our farthest European run since the CL final in 2011 was under Moyes.

(Disclaimer: this is NOT an endorsement of David Moyes. He was shit.)

Likely him leaving at the end of the season and Mourinho taking over is already agreed so they're just seeing out the season now, presumeably Mourinho can't/won't take over until the season is over and Giggs doesn't want it for a few games.
Why not do what City did with Pep? All but confirm it so the toxic nature around the club fades away and players stary auditioning for a new nanager.

He promoted some youth players after trimming the squad so much that he had no choice to though.

Maybe the club hasnt told LVG yet. And they might not want him to feck over the club even more than he had already?

Couldn't care less about the season now, it's done. We could've sacked him after December and still been in with a shout at the league. Absolutely shocking management at the top of the club.

Giggs can go too if he refuses to take over on an interim basis. Put Joyce in charge until the end of the season- if anyone deserves the caretaker role, it's him.

There's absolutely no downside to letting Joyce take over as interim at this point. feck letting LVG ride off into the sunset, he's sunk us.

I think we will miss out on the Europa League as well at this point. Pool and West Ham will be ahead of us at the end of the season and who is in 8th? They should be closing in as well.

Which is how? We are out of (nearly) all trophies, with 9 wins in 28 games. Brutal. He can't feck it mire if he tried. What's he going to do, sub two fullbacks and a DM when we need 3 goals to keep UCL hopes alive? Oh, wait, he already did that!

So we don't play another important game at home this season.

Going to be interesting to see what the atmosphere will be like, either completely toxic or half empty and silent. Either way it'll be shite and I hope it is really. The glazers and the board need to be made aware that this fecking shit has to end. 3 years of utter shite.

Just seems like we are, and have been, treading water for a long time now. This whole situation is going nowhere. Everyone is just waiting for the inevitable. Sack him now! Give Mourinho a few months to look at the squad and decide what he wants to do.

As is my usual routine.
Step1. we play the match
Step2. we lose/draw
Step3. straight into the LVG thread and vent.

There is no point posting in the post match thread, because it'll be the same negative assessment...identical to the assessment I made in the previous match.
We had a period of 4 games where we did well. This was because we played youngsters who didn't know how to use the LVG system. Now that our first teamers are all back, they know how to use the LVG system and the results are (last 4 games): LLDD

What is really shocking is that there are some people who still want to assess LVG at the end of the season.
And reading through the match day threads, there are too many fans who are not facing reality.
Many fans previously believed that we could win the EL...which was a ridiculous notion.
The match day thread for our last match had plenty of people believing we could score 4 goals. In actuality we ended up scoring 1 goal...which is about right for our team.
Now some fans are suggesting that top 4 is doable.

I am genuinely beginning to wonder if I am watching different matches to everybody else.

LVG keeps telling us that we can win our next game...even though we are barely able to a win a match. Today for instance, we drew because of a penalty. If that had not been given, we'd have lost.
Our previous match was against WHU, which we drew by scoring 1 goal...again.
1 goal a game is our true level. That's who we are. A 6th/7th place team.

Mourinho is the only light at the end of the very dark tunnel we are currently in.

Very frustrated.

It was okay. Most of what he said was true. The poignant line was "...and you need a bit of luck. But when you say that too much as a manager it is not good."

Whereas I ended up somewhat disliking Moyes, I've got nothing against LVG personally. But the brutal reality is he's failed, and should no longer be in the job. He probably knows that himself. So it's a very uncomfortable situation.

I expect him to be sacked the moment that we're knocked out of the FA Cup and mathematically cannot make the top 4.

That was the standard set by Woody with Moyes.

Hoping against all hope that he will walk at the end of the season (don't think that Woody will do the math thing again but it'll come as we're never going to get 4th) … he simply hasn't got a fecking clue.

Klopp in the technical area for most of the first half just told the difference in our dinosaur and their motivational master!

Get this clown out so I can get my passion back!

Whats the point of sacking him then? What are we playing for after that?

I don't mind listening to him speak but actions speak louder than words and I could not stand what I saw on the pitch tonight, and how he didn't seem to respond to the situation. Like he said, there's only so many times you can say you're unlucky.

He is just a laughing stock, you cant help someone who clearly is beyond helpless, best to laugh at this clown

The portrayal of the club etc is being ruined by this moron and ed yet people don't want Maureen because he MAY cause some aggro , fecking ridiculous!

Mou doesn't want to start until June. I think thats the problem we are having here.

Then just get Giggs in for a few months I guess. Might only be a short-term lift but it might be enough to get the FA Cup or steal 4th.

Because we may actually see how good our players are when given free reign to do what they do without the LVB cloud hanging over them which will help us deciding ins n outs.
