He won't get binned now but pretty sure he won't be here next season. I think that's been the case for a while.

I am increasingly feeling LVG's trying his best to screw us over with each tactical decision he makes. It's unreal.

We could realistically be looking at no win in our next four games. That's how difficult our next run of fixture are.

Why not just bite the bullet and move him on now, he's achieving nothing.

When I saw the line-up today I remembered the feeling that I had before the Olympiacos game in Greece when Moyes was still in charge. I saw the line-up and immediately lost all the hope that day - a five-year old could've said that it was the wrong set of players. I thought then about how strange it is - that a manager, who spent all his life learning about football should surely know better than any of the 600 million fans which saw the line-up in twitter and immediately realized what was wrong with it. But we were absolutely clueless that day, like anyone would've presumed even before the game. It was probably in that moment that I lost all the faith (there was not much left to be fair) in Moyes. This is the moment that I lost my faith in LVG - not even after that game, but an hour before, when he announced the line-up that just screamed "slow, clueless and spineless boring football" to the whole world.

Doubt he's trying to screw us over. However he probably is fully aware that he's not lasting beyond this season and has no drive to do much more than the bare minimum.

Those team selections were taking the piss. It's like he's placing a bet against us. Everyone else can see it, its bizarre.

Tonight it wasn't his fault, the players let him down.

If you set your team up for the draw its your fault. Substituting defensive players so you don't get embarrassed is unbecoming of a United manager. I'm sure the thought process was:
Looks like my secret weapon, the long ball pass from Blind to Fellaini, didn't get me 3 goals > I should do damage control because if Liverpool score several goals i'll get booed and my puppet Woodward might start doubting me > Let me put in some defensive players and hope we don't lose by enough that people would get mad.

Sack him now has been the top choice with over 60% for months now.

lol, 'sack him now' again over the 70% threshold. Let's see if it stays there this time.
Nah, we'll draw our next home game and people will decide he's turned a corner and deserves more time.

I don't think it's really about self preservation for him, I just think he's a stubborn old cnut who thinks he knows best, even when it's clear to all around he obviously doesn't. Ultra, ultra thick skin and a real disconnect with reality.

Ridiculous that it's not 100%, rival fans shouldn't be allowed to vote for obvious reasons.

True. I suppose there's no way to filter them out except 'by hand', and none of the mods are up for it. Or maybe there's a policy.

We might be better off presenting as near to a united (pardon the pun) front as possible to journos who monitor the Cafe to get an insight into fan opinion.

im not taking a side with this post, as a genuine question, what do you all think is keeping him here? surely he must be defeated by now, it just isn't working.

£££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££

Edit: He also seems completely delusional and thinks he's doing just fine.

I'm sure they could do it if they could be arsed, or just change it to sack now or end of season, or just discount their votes to show the correct %.

Well, I was exaggerating somewhat but you would think the bare minimum is to at least salvage some pride. Try for another goal at least and get the win even if we don't make it to the next round. The changes he made instead just left everyone else even more deflated after their halftime equalizer.

So is the post match interview going on? Havent seen anything yet :(

I feel like I usually see the good in LvG, despite wanting him gone, I sort of like his character. But tonight I cannot help but feel incredibly sad and pissed off. I expected this, but that doesn't mean it hurts. If he stays for one more season, or Giggs take over, I do not know what I would do with myself.

Why play that useless cnut Mata on the right? Varela was poor defensively but he had no cover that's a big part of the goal.
1 minute till half time and Mata is jogging around the half way line with his finger up his arse.
Get this clown out now and take Mata with him.

Simple. Money. If he resigns he wont get the pay off that he would get if the club fired him.

If giggs doesn't want to be interim then he's not being sacked. Doesn't matter what happens.

It was okay. Most of what he said was true. The poignant line was "...and you need a bit of luck. But when you say that too much as a manager it is not good."

I've seen bits on Twitter and apparently he's said "fixtures are a scandal" and has blamed injuries.

Cheers, sounds like standard LVG fare. Go into the season with a ridiculously thin squad, in a team known to suffer a lot of injuries, then complain about injuries and fixture congestion. OK.

Likely him leaving at the end of the season and Mourinho taking over is already agreed so they're just seeing out the season now, presumeably Mourinho can't/won't take over until the season is over and Giggs doesn't want it for a few games.
