Had to change my vote to sack him now.

If he can't drink out of a bottle without poking himself in the eye with a pen he's holding in the same hand he really shouldn't be trusted any longer.

We'll beat Shrewsbury and will have a decent chance at reaching the Wembley semis since the next game is West Ham at home.

Woodward's faith in LvG has well and truly been redeemed.

This win against Shrewsbury will no doubt earn him another season. Well done Louie and hard luck Jose!

We jest, but this will genuinely be looked at as a turning point until we get demolished by Arsenal because of 'bad luck' and 'injuries'.

There are no turning points. Only occasional wins against rubbish teams.

He'll somehow avoid defeat in all three meaning his job is safe for another month. It's like he's activated the cheat code for infinite lives on a computer game.

There you go. It happened again today. He activated his cheat code and he gets another lifeline for a few games.
He'll be "on the brink of being sacked" again in the next few weeks. I have no doubt about that.

WELL DON'T YOU ALL FEEL SILLY NOW?

I should've backed LVG all the way, you're right.
The fact that our league form is akin to that of a team in the relegation zone - we'll ignore that.

On here?! We could have every player sit down on the pitch and refuse to play and someone would find an excuse to blame Van Gaal for it.

We just cant blame LvG for everything. I think he should have done much better, but that goes for the players just as much.

:lol::lol:

If you've ever played GTA V its like having a 5 star wanted level, having police choppers after you, then they all magically vanish after you enter the 'reduce wanted level' cheat.

How much time did he buy himself with this win against the mighty Shrewsbury?

He took a bit too much pleasure out of that victory for my liking.

Of course he did because in his eyes it was a really tough away fixture and we have 14 injuries, he will surely believe now we are on FA cup winning form. Just a deluded fool in my eyes.

Beating a league one side in poor form is NO reason to keep Van Gaal. He has to go as soon as humanly possible. If Van Gaal left the club tonight it would still be months too late.

Time to change the vote, perfect performance against the mighty Shrewsbury.

Or not

Very sure today's result has no bearing on his position.

Flipping heck its to be hoped not, Shrewsbury were desperate.

LvG does have a handy knack of winning games just when the heat is really on though, fully expect us to win Thursday then revert to the norm thereafter.

Nothing has changed. If there's any chance Jose is willing to take over right now we should cut the cord with LVG immediately.

Those who dream of Giggs taking over this summer, a view which I doubt is held my many here, need to wake up. It's a bad, bad idea whose time should only come after Giggs has managed another club and had some success with it.

What pisses me off with VG, allot of united fans not pleased we won tonight, shows the levels of anger VG has created. He has turned us into a laughing stock with group stage exit in the CL, cannot compete for the title, embarrassed in the EL, and looking very likely we will not get CL football. We seem so concentrated on wanting VG sacked, we forget to support the team on the pitch because VG should be gone. Nothing has changed, and one victory should not even think that, which good old woodie and VG will think that

The only think we have to look forward to is the end of LVG time as manager. He will eventually leave. If not this season, definitely by next season. I'm passed getting angry at this point because Ed has shown he will not sack LVG despite our poor results since December. Hopefully Giggs is not appointed manager. I fear if he is, were going to be forced to stick with a few years of mediocrity due to our history and how Fergie turned it around.

Decent win but it must be said Shrewsbury were appalling and lacked any quality at all. Against a slightly better side on the counter wed struggle but they were just a bit too crap to not get a result.
