LVG

LVB is definitely pointless

Don't really know much re 'Red Issue' but it's some kind of joke account right?

Just found myself on their twitter account and the stuff they're saying is ridiculous.

Either they have no faith in giggs to take over until the season is over, or they do not want to pay for VG's compensation, so they see it has we know we are not going to get CL football so they counting down the days when its impossible they can sack him then. They probably have agreed to Mourinho one way or another, they are just going for cost effectiveness and sacking VG when there is no hope getting CL football, which at this rate I can see us finishing 8th or 9th
Maybe now.

But I was talking about in December. When he should've left.

Now its just a lost season.

A question for people, if I may.

How would you feel if the results had been exactly the same, but we were playing exciting, seat of your pants football?

Exciting football would suggest dominating games with lots of goalmouth action at the right end of the pitch. To get the same results would take incredible bad luck if that was the case. At the moment we get the results we deserve for the squad LVG has built and the selections/tactics used.

If we were playing exciting football it's more likely we would be winning more games, United are playing beyond bad, and that reflects on the results

Three more games to save his job. The article misses the expensive wine bottle. This club is a joke.

Win the next three games (one against a struggling League fecking One side, a second rate Danish side and Arsenal, a side famous for under performing in the big games and at Old Trafford in general) shouldn't make up for the last 18 months of shit football, shit results and just utter shittery.

Season is over.

Im not sure winning those games will save United's season let alone LVG's, FA Cup isn't a banker, top 4 looks almost out of reach and there better sides left in the Europa league, were playing shite football, look devoid of any confidence, theres no leadership, no direction, players look lost, management looks lost, winning the next 3 games might save LVG but it will do nothing to save the clubs season.

He'll somehow avoid defeat in all three meaning his job is safe for another month. It's like he's activated the cheat code for infinite lives on a computer game.

There is no way we are beating Arsenal. And there is no way this fraud is getting fired even after 3 losses. The issue is bigger than him and no longer about his performance. Because on that metric alone he should have been gone a long time ago. This is about finances and politics behind the scenes. Ed is in way over his head and his entrenched position reflects he is not thinking rationally. I also lend credence that the board is divided, some want Giggs, some want Jose and god knows what else. LVG should not even be mentioned at this point but the fact that he is here shows what kind of a mess the club is in on a fundamental level.

There are no sources in that article; it's complete conjecture.

If will lose all three, then maybe could he be in danger of losing his job. The media keeps spinning this: "3 new games after draw against (insert lower ranked club here) .." angle but surely they are not that dim to let, quite frankly, those types of poor results keep going? They must have an agreement in place that he is to see the season out.

It shall be his last season.

Out of interest, what sort of source might you expect for an article like that?

:boring: Yawn (not you, the article) … it all sounds suspiciously familiar.

Oh, yeah! It was nearly my best Christmas present!

from, The Daily telegraph, Dec 20th 2015
Louis van Gaal has two games to save his job at Manchester United

We didn't win either of those games and nothing happened afterwards, so don't hold your breath.

let me guess what's going to happen:

we lose to shrewsbury and midjtyalland (?) again, knocked out out of 2 cups in a space of a week.

then we somehow draw 0-0 vs arsenal and he keeps the job again!

Just seen an article with the title:
Shrewsbury will be tough, says Carrick

 - what have we become? How is this acceptable for Manchester fecking United!

edit: and another saying
Manchester United's Michael Carrick: 'We could slip up against Shrewsbury Town'
If we ever needed a seige mentality, it's now!
This dressing room mentality drips directly down from LvG's self-serving actions and statements - no way would this have happened under … (you finish the sentence)!

I made a post before the MidgitLand game (on that thread) comparing LvG's statement about being in the last 32 of the Europa league and Klopp's. Basically saying that the negativity and arse-covering pre-match is almost Moyes-esque and that such a defeatist attitude must seep down to the players.

And … oh, I can't be bothered because it fecks me off so much and nothing ever changes!

We're now officially a joke!

Why would we insert such a clause in to his contract? Were we that confident he'd do a great job?

I think the clause is that we can sack him and not have to pay out a lot if he misses out on top 4 (like Moyes)

If he's as proud as he says he is, then he won't ask for compensation. He's done a terrible job.

He'll somehow avoid defeat in all three meaning his job is safe for another month. It's like he's activated the cheat code for infinite lives on a computer game.

LOL.
Yep. It's basically impossible for him to lose, even when it appears he is losing.

It's not a clause, if he is fired the club will have to pay the rest of his salary which is 10m.

The three game ultimatum is another piece of made up shit from the media. He is going to stay here till the end of season no matter what happens from now on, we just gotta accept that...

If that's true, its just poor management by Woody given that we are going to suffer more loss (No CL revenue, position in table etc.,) by keeping him in charge.

That's why the trigger should have pulled a lot sooner, sacking him in December would have made sense in every way because the CL was greatly salvageable, now it still makes sense because you could say that there isn't a huge difference between losing 60m and losing 70m but the benefits are null, now the only reason that we have to sack is to make the point that failing isn't acceptable. Does that point worth 10m?
