So have I. He'll be here until the end of the season. If not longer.

Same here.

The Utd board have clearly given up on this season by not sacking him so I've given up on this season too.

No point getting worked up about it, as hard as it is not to be angry.

I get the impression he is hiding behind the injuries, so he could point to the fact he is not a complete and utter fraud of a manager!

The number of times he's mentioned contact injuries. The guy has no clothes.

I just wish people werent so naive. He wont get sacked until top 4 is gone, probably even will retire at the end of the season. We could lose the next 2 games and people still would hope/expect the sack, but it wont happen. I just hope this season finishes as soon as possibe and Mou gets announced, cant wait.

I'm at a point where seeing him go into retirement quietly would be an injustice to me. I want to see him sacked and humiliated.

That's a bit much. Yes he's been a disaster for us but he's still our manager, not some war criminal.

It's probably projected onto myself because I can't get over how long I was holding out belief in this guy. Every time we put in another crap performance or he cost us points with one of his countless bad subs and in-game changes, I kept telling myself that the man isn't stupid, he'll learn. But he just doesn't, does he? I tend to ask myself where I'd be if I was so thick.

Maybe Rooney bribed the doctors to get away from the shower of shit which is van gaals philosophy

He does know. It takes 3 months for players to understand the philosophy. Then it takes 1st half of the season. Then its a 3-year process. Then you become title challengers after a win. Then top 4 contenders. Then you aren't ready to win the champions league. Then you become title challengers again. Then you lose faith in the philosophy and go on a losing streak. Then you go 4 games unbeaten against relegation fodder culminating in a win against Liverpool and you are title contenders again. And then you beat a team in the division below and hammer Stoke and it's the philosophy clicking. Then you lose hope on a respectable league finish and Champions League football. Sounds legit to me. Nothing moves in a straight line.
Except those 5 yard backpasses.

Rio today saying how bayern & Barcelona are the favourites because they are "Teams".

There's a difference between success & playing as a team. We are currently shite at doing so but only & idiot would assume we are a bunch of individuals.

This team will one day click. Whether that happens under Giggs, Mourinho or pochettino doesn't matter. The guy who started is the guy you hate.

Mourinho could tell all 11 players to park the bus; but it would not surprise me at all to have the team also able to play possessive football at the right moments.

Says who? Why is this a guarantee?

 When you say it like that. Genuinely amazed how people thought a 3-0 win over Stoke was a sign of something huge coming, only for us to come back to our usual selves within two games.

Him being saved by 0-0 draw versus Chelsea with "I cannot leave after a performance like this" was truly comedy gold.
FFS Sarni, stop it  Things are so surreal, it's much better to just laugh at everything, especially the venom spewed at LvG (deservedly).

It's either laugh or get fecking worked up and infuriate yourself with why the feck this man is still in charge.

Even if we win title 50 years from now it will all be because of van Gaal. Barcelona would not exist without him, neither would Bayern.

You got yourself sort of easy (and crazy) argument here. Even if we are crap for the next 10 years but do well in 2027 you will still claim it's just because of van Gaal. Basically can you even lose?

We haven't be able to do it under Van Gaal so far, so what makes you think it'd be down to him in the future? I'm yet to see us play our way out of dangerous situations/pressure with tidy possession game. All we do when under pressure is hoof the ball up to absolutely no one , giving the ball away in the most moronic manner possible while the players become nervous wrecks.

Most of the players are way too limited on the ball, even the ones signed by Van Gaal (with some exceptions, but even Blind makes things hard for himself sometimes), so that'd explain our inability to string two passes together when pressed. Problem is, he's been here for over 18 months now and has done feck all to address the issue that's been a problem even before his arrival. Don't confuse clueless attacking play and lack of creativity against defensive teams with actual possession football.

Neil Ashton was just on talksport saying that LVG is already planning this summers tour and plans for Wayne's testimonial.

If we fail to get Champions League football and van Gaal is still fecking here for next season...

nah ain't happening. I know our club is stupid at times but surely they aren't that stupid. Trying to stay optimistic and I will say Mourinho will be United manager for the pre-season tour and Wayne's big game

To be fair to him, he did have outrageous injury problems, especially with a key player like Shaw. Shaw was fecking immense till he got that injury. It's LvG's fault on the other hand that United have few offensive options.

Would a loss to Mjyittaland over two legs and being out of EL prompt the board to sack him? We most probably will go out of EL to this team anyways.

How much low will we need to sink before LvG gets the sack? The news that he is planning for summer is a kick in the balls of all fans!

An improved version of this team could one day 'click'.
Will any credit go to LVG for this? No, because he couldn't get it to. In fact, his choices have done quite the opposite.
He's done very little for us other than bring some new players in, which Mourinho or others could've also done. They've hardly been hidden gems.
Some management bringing in half a team of better players and not being able to notice any difference on the pitch.

Exactly. The only time we've played possession football is when we haven't needed to/the other team has let us, and even then we feck it up on the reg.
Anyone that pressures us is in and around the final third tearing our defence a new one.

I can't believe the club shop is selling this.

We seem to be a club now that uses former glory to try and make money around the globe. Only ambition is really top 4 so that we get the money from that.

I have no doubt if we had a manager like Wenger who guaranteed top 4 but no more, the board and owners would love him.

We are no different from any other big club now, sliding away from the elite club we used to be. We used to be more than elite - unique and special where our history felt like a force driving new success making every trophy even more emotional. Look at the weight of Munich we felt in Moscow. The way Ferguson kept ancient traditions in challenging times like the Summer of 1995. Now our history is banded about on daft twitter accounts and our traditions tattered over stupid t-shirts for the £££'s. We try and make fans think that we are still a club entertaining and competing at the elite level to gain obscene sponsorship deals to generate wealth for men who couldn't give a feck about football.

Sounds awfully familiar.

Why is he still the manager? Maintaining our reputation as a club that gives its managers a chance has become pyrrhic at best.
